Look at howards position and at the height the ball has gone in the net. Now picture him stood up. What happens? It hits him in the stomach, I'm not having it, he should save it I dont care how hard he hits it, its dreadful technique by Howard.

He has to be low down incase the shot is low. All keepers stand that way. He couldnt react in time, no keeper would have.

If Howard was standing up and a low shot went past him you would be furious.

If you have ever watched football you would see that all keepeers stand like that when ready to make a save.

it's just f*cking sickening, can't believe they scored from a long ball, the so called best footballing team. we outplayed them and then decided to switch off. we've threw 2 results away against teams we're chasin. lets hope utd win league cup.

We went to sleep when it mattered most, we'd done the hard bit by taking the lead and just like against Villa, we ****ed up in the last minute by not concentrating.
I was gutted and absoluetley bloody freezin' cold - a bad night all round in my opinion and best forgotten.

Dont tell me about goalkeeping technique mate, every keeper stands on their haunches, with their weight foward, making themselves as big as possible, as long as possible etc etc, Howard always ends up on his arse, his is a technically poor keeper. And for the goal, the position he is in, means he can do nothing but fall on his arse. In fact having just watched it again, he's not even set, he's actually in the air when the shot is struck, he is bouncing instead of being on his toes. and for Gerrards effort, he is made to look a fool because his feet are positioned so wide apart giving him longer to get them out of the way. If he is set correctly he saves both.

That's complete rubbish imo.

I blame Yobo meself like.

Harsh. Be fair he did put in a quality cross for Cahills header.

:o You mean that wasn't him and it was Baines? I could of sworn someone insisting Moyes would drop Baines and bring Yobo back for this game

Agreed. Sorry KJ but i don't think Howard can take any blame for the goal.

It was a beautifully struck powerful shot, very very difficult to save. Howard would of had to be alert but the ball could of been struck low or high, near post or far post, he had to prepare himself for any of those.

That shot would of been past pretty much any keeper before they knew it.
