So many teams involved, but finally getting our home form going at this time of the season could be key

For me the fact that this conversation/tread exists, and not just as a flight of fancy is testament to the improvement that has been made. Europe may be in reach, but so is finishing above that lot - which is my main hope. I would expect that if that was achieved Europe would also be achieved.

It’s great to be in with a chance of any kind of European football. We’ve shown this season that we are capable of good results against the top teams, and if that continues, we have a chance to move up the table. Finishing 8th and getting the Conference would still represent a great season. I notice that Roma currently also occupy the conference league spot in Italy?! I worry that both teams will finish there! Would we miss out?!

Still too many difficult games for me to say at this point if we didn't make Europe its down to Moyes. I think the home form in Jan/Feb would be the main reason we miss out (if we do). We're in a great position with 7 to go but the next 2 are extremely difficult. If we won both of them, got over 50pts with 5 to play, then I'd start really believing European football is in our grasp.

That's going to need performances like last night, fans right up for it like last night, no injuries and a bit of luck.

Most of us felt the same going into the last 2 games which were very tough on paper and we came out with 3 points out of 6 we deserved even more! We need to keep the performance levels up the next two are six pointers and for me are key to see where we do end up, its great to see were in with a shout of the champions league and with some of chelseas fixtures coming up i do feel we can leapfrog them regardless were we end up.

We will then be kicked down into the Conference League if Roma also finish in the Europa places.

Will be difficult to over take Liverpool. We’d need 4 points gone the goal difference. We’d perhaps need to go 2 points for game for the 7 remaining e.g 14 points, which is 4 wins 2 draws 1 loss. Then hope Liverpool only get 10 points which would be 3 wins, 3 losses and a draw.

I think we’d need Liverpool to absolutely implode to overtake them, and we’d need to beat them in the derby and probably also beat Brentford, City and Spurs away.

Continue the recent home form and stay around our PPG away from home, we'll finish top 7.

Improve on that and top 5 is achievable.

With them 3 points above us and a win puts us in the mixer with em for europe

What moyes and his team have done this season is incredible

Probably covid year when we won at Mos Eisley Spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

That said, we came this close that season only to throw it away in the last 4 games (both squads had michael keane) so we need to learn from that

That's another fantastic result for us in the race to get a European spot.

The last thing we needed was Newcastle on a charge, and that result has derailed them.

Thing is i can see us winning at least 3 of them. But as we know anything can happen, as results never always go way you think/expect

Then we root for Roma to be either really good or really bad, or we just take a CL spot.

But the ABSOLUTE nightmare would be if we earned a CL spot and Roma did as well.
