18 points from our remaining 10 games

Burnley (H)
Arsenal (A)
Chelsea (H)
Brentford (A)
Liverpool (H)
West Ham (H)
Citeh (H)
Palace (A)
Sunderland (H)
Spurs (H)

I fancy us to take some points verses the top two (very us), but it feels like the rest are 50-50 chance of the game going either way.

Might be a year too soon.
The one game we absolutely have to get points in is the Derby, we didn’t allow them to win the last Goodison one so we damn sure better not give them a sniff at winning the first at HDS

All we need is for the home form to be better and we're in with a massive shout of Europe.

Teams like Newcastle aren't going to make it now and in fact none of those below us will get past us. Brentford are low hanging fruit and we'll overtake them. Even Chelsea look flakey and vulnerable.

I said earlier that 6th-8th is the very probable landing zone for us come May.

Yes, Arsenal, Chelsea and the derby are on the horizon but we can get points there, no question.

It's THEM so I get it but if we win every other game (yes unlikely) then I'd not be getting het up about it. Its 3 points same as any other. I think part of our failing is building those games up and if we lose fans then losing their heads with the team/club which tends to undermine everything else.

I think we get 19pts out of those games.

Loose 3/draw 1/win 6

Brentford will be massive for where we finish in europe

How long is his contract extension when the European place is confirmed?

Another 2 years in all likelihood.

If I were TFG though - even under those circumstances of European qualification - I'd keep a manager of his age and low ceiling under a rolling year contract.

That would be the wise decision.

Pretty sure West Ham and Spurs are away, as we've already dropped points at home to both of them.

Burnley and Sunderland at home are what worries me the most. Need more unpredictable line ups against RS, Chelsea and City like against Villa and Newcastle and we'll get the wins.

I think we should want Europe if player requirements last season are anything to go by. We were told players would not come to us because we did not have Europe, so if we qualify we become more attractive to players in signing extensions as well as new players. The calibre of player we then have next season should improve.

Isn't there a small chance a European place can even drop to 9th? Would take a lot of ifs for that to happen I imagine
A very small chance

Initial routes:
1-5 = CL
6 and fa cup = EL
League cup = conference league

As the league cup final is two teams almost certain to finish 1-5, the conference league place drops to 7th place

Then if a team already qualified by league position wins the fa cup, that drops to 8th

For it to go to 9th we would need a premier League team that finishes in the Europa League or that one conference league spot to win either the champions League or Europa League, meaning they qualify for the CL next season and that spot gets bumped down.

Realistically, from the clubs currently competing that would require one of Chelsea, villa or Newcastle to win the European competition they're in and finish 6th to 8th in the table.

alll thanks to Moysey; and who better to guide us through it than a proven european winner!

Happy to be proved wrong on this, but not sure we are ready as a team for Europe. I think the squad is brittle for all the games and too small. Not getting it this season could be a blessing.
This is my concern

On top of that there's stricter spending rules for UEFA competitions so it would have some impact on recruitment

Still, I'll be delusionally excited if we get it, but I'll take it as some comfort if we just miss out that 'it was for the best' ha
