Some of the best times of my life have been away European trips with Everton... so yes.

One of the top 6 would have to win the FA Cup... but what if that team in Man U. What happens then?

We'd still get it. The FA Cup runner-up no longer qualifies by that route.

Shouldnt be settling for 7th place.
5th place in the league will go straight into group stages.
6th or fa cup winners would have to play one two leg game to qualify for groups.
7th place would mean playing two two leg games to get to group stage.

Mind you the other lot might end up below us any how as they're 3-0 down

Incorrect.

Just seventh.

Only CL Dropouts from their 3rd round qualifiers, enter at Group stage, 5th and 6th enter at Group stage. For example, United with FA Cup, and finish 7th, we'd still end up in the 3rd qualifying round.

"Happy Days" is getting into the Europa group stage by finishing higher in the league. Attempting to slip sneakily in the back door is more like "Cautiously Chuffed Days".
The poll needs some adjustment.
As for being in the Europa, it just needs to be managed properly, so that it does not hurt our league performance. That will require a squad expansion and rotation of youth/reserve team players according to the opposition.

How is it sneaking in the back door? If we finish 7th, and 7th gets Europa League, then we've walked in through the main reception.

The old Fair Play Award was proper crawling in through an air conditioning duct.

Agreed, the Fair Play had nothing much to do with football skills. All the same, getting into a competition through a quota system based on the results of others does not feel like the main entrance to me, even if it is (if that makes sense). I just would prefer we would qualify directly to the group stage, by climbing higher in the league. That would feel more legit and satisfying to me, that's all.

The bold bit, definitely. If we're gonna do it, we can't be risking the qualifiers.

Priority is:

1. FA Cup winners
2. 5th place
3. League Cup winners
4. 6th place
5. FA Cup runners-up
6. 7th place

Whichever of the three places apply - first goes to Group, second to final qualifying round, third to 2 rounds of qualifying. I think this becomes 2 places if Man Utd win the Europa and fail to make the top 4. If Leicester (or City if finishing outside top 4) were to win the Champions League (let's ignore Arsenal here) then 4th place would be demoted to Europa. But that would still take in 7th unless Leicester won the CL.. then we'd have Leicester, 1,2,3 and possibly United (Europa winners) in CL - all of which would now exclude 7th place.

Unfortunately I think we're probably 7th for the season now.

Just looking at our last few away games against Hull, Palace, Stoke and Boro we only managed to get 1 win. I think the lack of wins on the road between now and the end of the season will do for us. Can see it continuing the pattern of tight games in which we'll mostly draw and pick up the odd win/defeat.

Rom was watching Gabbiadini almost (possibly) cost us a EL place and he wasn't happy. He obviously wants it and it might increase the chances he'll sign again.

We're in excellent form at home but struggle to take 3 points away. If we continue that pattern it won't be doing badly as the level of opposition is going up.
Amongst the away games are Spurs, Liverpoor, Man U and Arsenal.

The FA Cup runner up wil be nowhere near the EL.....unless they finish between 5th and 7th or win the League Cup.

At the moment the 6th placed team in the table will join Man. United in the EL (provided United miss out on top four).

If any team finishing in the top six goes on to lift the FA Cup, including United, then the 7th placed team goes in the EL hat.

But under no circumstances will a team be entered in the EL solely on the strength of finishing runner up in the FA Cup Final :)
