then for our next round scroll down to the 3rd round and look at the teams listed on the right hand side of the table. There might be some changes but only if some 'easier' teams beat the ones listed in the previous round.

If you get confused by seeding, don't look at the round after that unless we get through as he is currently just using the UEFA coefficient to see who 'should' drop into the fourth round from the Champions' League.

Sparta Prague have a better coefficient than Milan.

For the blues who travelled away last time: What are the chances of actually getting a ticket to these grounds? Obviously ideally in the away end, but do you think you could get one in the home end?

When I've travelled away in Europe, the security regarding separation is a lot less strict than in the UK. So, either by myself or with the help of very helpful away fans (*FC Nürnberg!), I usually manage to get a ticket in the block next to the away support by booking it through the home team ticket site (possibly helps here that I have a European address but generally isn't a problem if you are coming from the UK either). The away support tends to extend either side of the official section because there are plenty of blues doing the same thing.

Or sometimes you can just buy the away end when you get there (Benfica was an example).

Thanks mate

I think its realistic we should have a fair crack at winning it this year, Boro, Fulham and Rangers have all been n the final of this in recent years.
To be fair it's quite a bit more competitive now with that champions league qualification bonus and the last winners being Man U and Sevilla winning it a few times shows you have to be pretty decent to go all the way. I do think we can win it though for what it's worth. We're not yet good enough for champions league but I think this is exactly the level we could find ourselves top of the pile.

To be a top team you have to play in Europe, you have to have the squad to deal with the stresses and strains of a European campaign. This is the start of a new adventure. I can see us doing well in this competition but hopefully not at the expense of our league position.
Europa League is simply the next step forward.

The only game in living memory which was a struggle for tickets was Alkmaar, who made it almost impossible to get in the home end!
There was a few locked out at fiorentina, but hat could have been avoided!

I can't understand the people who don't like this tournament. I love watching Everton in Europe. To be fair looking at the poll at the top of the page, more than most feel the same way. Fingers crossed we have a really good go at it.

Alkmaar was a weird one, away end was split in half by a perspex divider, too many in one side coz some got in on blag tickets, and the other half was nowhere near full.

Just looking at that seeding list for the qualifying rounds, this looks like a pretty loaded league. And this is before the CL playoff losers drop in.

They don't drop in until after the group stages (which, honestly, is the biggest load of BS. The winner gets a Champions League place and they pepper it with, what, 8 champions league teams AFTER re group?)

I meant the last round of CL qualifying before the group stage. The losers in that playoff round also drop into Europa.

Yeah, but the standard of those teams isn't significantly great. Even then, we'd still be seeded. But the quality would be RB Salzburg and Celtic, who, being honest, we should be able to beat.

Holy crap I completely forgot about those! It's insane that they build up a competition to 'mean something' with the winner getting a CL place and they do everything to make sure someone who was initially in the CL wins it even if they are (mostly) barely in the competition..
