Yes unbelievably Presidents are exempt from the Ethics in Government Act of 1978, enacted after Watergate.

They do have insider trading laws but they relate to public stocks not private companies. Of greater concern is his overseas interests which might cause foreign policy conflict of interests.
Sadly this is quite normal in our world. Czech finance minister is in top 5 of the most wealthy person in country. He is using his ministry spot as a support for his own business, his business holding is enjoying an amazing growth. I am also quite sure Trump's business will also massively profit from his presidency. I am quite sure the future of politics in world will involve more people like Andrej Babis, Silvio Berlusconi, Donald Trump and these people are going to benefit from it. Conflict of interests is no problem at all...

Ethiopia - communism. If we are talking about developed countries with demogracy, then Monaco - monarchism, nationalism, conservatism. From EU Romania. Thankfully to using EU money transfers and having a government of technocrats... Then Ireland - conservatism...

Just that you said it was failing everywhere you see.

You've got the knack of changing the subject though, it's a common trait it seems.

I heard that Aberdeen are claiming that one of their local businessmen has just become the next USA President........

That is true! Thought it was a brilliant bit of reporting from some poor sod who will be probably be reporting on the new Christmas lights tomorrow.

It's been a bad couple of months for the Eu really. They can't say it but they hate Trump with a vengeance, they hate Brexit and now they have the Brexit leading Trump best mate Farage winding them up at every opportunity.......Juncker will be hitting the bottle.......

Dearest Fellow Evertonians and particularly those of you that voted Remain in the referendum,

most of you are in favour of the single market of the EU and either accept or actively welcome the freedom of movement within the EU that is associated with this.

If you are in favour of this would you be in favour of a world single market and the freedom of movement that would come with this?

If not, why not, and what is the difference?

Love to you all, whichever way you voted...

And they will hate Le Pen/Wilders/Grillo and all the other far right nutters who Brexit and Trump have gave hope too.
