He has said we will be front of the que for deals, and as we are one if not the biggest investor into the USA I don't think there is much to fear as he is promising jobs not losing them.
Another rebellion from the voters of a massive country, not been fully engaged in it as it's been a slanging match from both sides, LBC this am James O,Brian in tears like the day after Brexit a caller came on guess what he stated the people who voted for Trump were illiterate Urm aka Brexit hey heard that one before?

I put this in the Trump thread:

"It is the time of the demagogue.

Politicians have become both masters of, and servants of the media.

Trump chose the mastery of, rather than being the servant to, the media.

He created a product out of himself that appealed to popular desires and prejudices, rather than using rational argument and having detailed plans. It is exactly the same strategy as executed by Farage and the Leave campaign.

"You want change? I can give you change. Make America great again, big deals, great again"

If it was a political drama on TV it would have been entertaining, but these demagogues are playing with real lives, real businesses, real people - yet they don't have a bloody clue how to fix the problems they've used to gain power.

Yes, the political establishment created the conditions to allow such demagogy to occur, but as with Brexit, to see this as some form of victory for the poor, the sick, the needy, the uneducated, the elderly, and others of need is pure fantasy."

It isn't a 'victory' for them, they just reacted to their perceived loss of...well lots of stuff both real and imagined and put an X where they thought it would hurt those they held...rightly or wrongly, responsible.

It's also interesting how very rich, white men are somehow able to effectively preach of smashing a system or upsetting the status quo for the interests of others. Most the rhetoric sounds revolutionary, but who's been overthrown?

Despite the 15% fall in the value of Sterling, no sign of the 'Brexit dividend'

Britain’s trade deficit with the rest of the world widened unexpectedly in September as the sharp fall in the pound since the Brexit vote failed to boost exports.

The UK trade in goods deficit increased by £1.6bn over the month to £12.7bn. Imports rose £1.3bn to £38.8bn, while exports fell by £200m to £26.1bn. Imports of ships, materials, vehicles and oil were all up in September, the Office for National Statisticssaid.

The disappointing figures suggested the 16% fall in the value of the pound since the EU referendum in June failed to lift exports, despite making British goods cheaper abroad.

There's a simple task ahead for those holding this view or similar: do what Farage did. Organise, campaign, take part in elections. The Lib Dems are a tainted brand, Labour are dead in the water, so the opening is there.
