So we have a position where the Govt will appeal, even though the majority of MPs are Remainers, in order to enforce the democratic principle of listening to the majority of the electorate, even though I would imagine that the same electorate would now vote Remain themselves if offered the chance at another referendum!

If the very best script-writers couldn't dream up political satire of this quality.

Which, in a way, was the whole point of the Leave campaign, sovereignty comes back to our Parliament. Everything is so circular, this sovereignty could now scupper Brexit?

If I were TM I would not appeal the judgement....the people will sort out MP's who wish to defy the referendum result....there will be a lot of noise from the constant remainers for the next week or so, let it play out, let them enjoy their 'win'. I even hope they crow a bit as this will just stiffen the resolve of the Leave voters and make some remain voters wonder about the vanity of these politicians.....

Joey this issue is so important, regardless of whether pro or anti Brexit, this is about the sovereignty of parliament - the fact that the removal of citizen's rights (caused by Brexit) can only be brought about by Parliament not the Executive.

It means that the elected government will have to give the whole house a vote on signing article 50 the very form Corbyn wanted to sign the very next day it means more delays imo!
Or possibly a GE!

Food prices up, fuel prices up, holiday prices for 2017 up, a lull before the economic climate worsens and an admission by both sides that nothing much will change on immigration in the years ahead.........not so sure.
