Of course. But ROI is bust. And the UK will bring down business taxes to similar levels. I'm all in favour of a low tax society.
There are plenty of countries with low tax rates. Why not Cayman? Iceland? Macedonia? Uzbekistan? Qatar?
What has Ireland got..?
Oh have they joined the EU?
Not according to Pienaar'sgloves, see his post at the top.
They are screwed without the UK in the EU to hold their hand.
BULLSEYE!
Definitely going to hurt Ireland.
Definitely going to hurt Ireland.
Really, get real Mate we are talking of EU sweetners not the globe.
Itv news no sweetener was used just our growing economy in the future outside the EU!
Would Google be there if they weren't in Europe? I doubt it - in fact I doubt that the Irish would have adopted the tactic of lowering corporation tax to make them so attractive within Europe.

Thing is Joey, the fact that it is news is testament to the fact that Nissan needed reassurances following the vote. That, in a nutshell, is what you seem to not recognise. The Out vote created uncertainty, which leads to fear and worry.
Lob in the "ability" of politicians to sort the uncertainty out, and that is why, welcome though the Nissan news is, it will need to be replicated, time and time and time again. Not just with companies in the UK, but pretty much every single export market that we give a fig about.
So labelling folk who do not share your Tally Ho (!) approach to the future, can get a tad irritating.
The future is uncertain. It may be ace, it may not be, but a huge amount of work needs to be concluded before any bunting needs unfurling.

It's balanced apart from both sides of this debate sometimes get carried away even me , but many others on the other side of the argument too!A nice balanced post. Even if we remained in the EU our future would not be that clear either, some obviously like the status quo but do not acknowledge that also could pose problems.
