These are the exact same people who get to vote in our Governments, or should they not be allowed because they don't understand the nuclear deterrent, our relationship with Russia, the economic needs of infrastructure projects. I despair at the idiots who have voted for Jeremy Corbyn, but he won...........
Davy boy wasted funds too - scraping brand new aircraft carriers instead of building planes to use on them?

Article 50 is irrevocable once invoked, and it is clear that the consequences of leaving the EU are far greater than was anticipated prior to the referendum.

It would be irresponsible beyond belief to invoke article 50 without knowledge of our global trading relationships post Brexit.

Hence I think Parliament should act in the country's interests and not invoke article 50.
So stuff the british public then hey ho!
If Remain had won by 1% they would have taken it - the story would be dead by now and our subscriptions would be going up in the EU!

Yeah true that mate, because they rose in line with our GDP and our GDP would still be seeing 2% growth and we'd not have a currency that is bombing like the Argentine peso.

Happy Trafalgar day everyone.

And salutations to Admiral Collingwood, the person who won the battle (Nelson was fatally wounded very early in the battle and taken below decks, where he died - notwithstanding the fact it was Nelson's battle plan, Collingwood was the one who carried it through to its successful conclusion. Yet he hardly ever gets a mention when the history of the battle is recounted...).

Whereas being fatally wounded, remaining on deck and acting like the Black Knight is more in tune with this thread ;)

The consequences of leaving appear to be far better than were portrayed by the remain camp, and indeed yourself with your recession. The people still voted to leave. You call invoking article 50 irresponsible, well those that voted for it do not think so, its called democracy. I believe it would be folly of the greatest order if the current Labour party were to gain power and do away with our nuclear deterrent, you would call that democracy and I would have to agree with you.....it may be a failing of democracy, but the day we ignore it we may just as well invite Putin in to run the country.....the arrogance of those who insist that they know better and continue to campaign against invoking article 50 show that they are no democrats.......

And?

You were talking about the guy who said he'd researched the referendum, wel he hadn't done a very good job.

There were four guys on 909 at the same time 2 from each camp. One guy was talking about how his business is struggling as prices increase due to the pound (he's an importer and he can't source nor manufacture here) and the 2 leave voters who claimed to be informed said he was wrong and that the falling pound will make his imports cheaper.

It may not be an accurate representation (God I hope it isn't) but of the leave voters on the BBC platform who claimed they knew what they were talking about last night not many did.

Welcome to the the modern world.
If you dont get your own way, shout, scream and stamp your feet as no one else is intelligent enough if they don't agree.

Sad times to be a part of. The decade of the cry baby.

You seemed to have failed to pick up on the many people on here (and yourself by the looks of it) who want the law to be circumvented and the parliamentary vote bypassed.

I'd say a the decade of ignorance would be a more apt description.
