absolutely and alot of people did do research

but we cant just ignore the complexities of leaving and the dfferent types of leaving

maybe we need to have a referendum on each bit...

We have voted to Leave, so article 50 can now be enacted. When the detail comes out, Government and Parliament will scrutinise it, the enabling laws will all go through Parliament and when a final deal is ready they will no doubt vote on it also.......what's the problem......well the problem is that Esk and co don't really accept the result, it kills them to understand that we voted leave, and they want Parliament to second guess the vote BEFORE we enact article 50 thereby reversing the decision of the referendum.......

Yeah but I placed my vote having done all sorts of research, and knew fell well to take what was in the literature with a pinch of salt, as I'm sure all voters did (I'm beginning to see how this is actually quite fun, no wonder you and Joe have kept it up for so long)

I'll give you that one......hahaha......

Will it be an open vote so the electorate will be able to see who voted which way,and wont it then have to get past the house of lords?

Welcome to the the modern world.
If you dont get your own way, shout, scream and stamp your feet as no one else is intelligent enough if they don't agree.

Sad times to be a part of. The decade of the cry baby.

News thump ........

Trump not accepting election result ‘very different’ to me not accepting EU referendum result, claims Remainer

Refusing to accept the result of a democratic vote is only wrong when Donald Trump does it, according to many Remainers today.

With presidential hopeful Donald Trump refusing to pledge he will abide by the result of the US general election, Remain voter Simon Williams insisted it couldn’t be more different to his demands for another EU referendum.

He told us, “Donald Trump saying the election is rigged before a vote is even cast is disgusting and throws a huge shadow over the entire democratic process in America.

“But me wanting another EU referendum is very different – because I only said the result shouldn’t stand after I knew the result.”

That is probably the most undemocratic and dictatorial statement I've ever seen on here. You know best, pat the voters on the head and tell them their votes don't count if they get the wrong result. The decision on implementing article 50 was made with the vote. The Government and Parliament have been told what to do, now they need to do it.......

Article 50 is irrevocable once invoked, and it is clear that the consequences of leaving the EU are far greater than was anticipated prior to the referendum.

It would be irresponsible beyond belief to invoke article 50 without knowledge of our global trading relationships post Brexit.

Hence I think Parliament should act in the country's interests and not invoke article 50.

I still read through these pages, and smile.

Same old, same old...

But I have to say that I find this statement one of the most remarkable(insert another word of your choice if you wish here) I have ever read: "...without knowledge of our global trading relationships post Brexit..." Why? Because we have not yet reached the point where we KNOW what is going to happen in the future. Jeez, I don't know what's going to happen this afternoon or this evening...

I fervently hope (and continue to do so) to see common sense and logic coming forth from certain quarters of this discussion, but I despair of that ever being so.

So I'll echo the words of a certain Pete Townsend, decades ago:
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again

Listen fellas, the MPs voted IN. Stop leavemoaning will you.
They also voted 6-1 to have an EU referendum and what was on the ballot paper Bruce - In both campaigns on THIS WEEK last night it showed under no illusions the both sides stated if you vote out we will leave the single market - why is that Andrew neil pointed out you cannot be in the single market, and be in the EU!
So where does this clap trap comes from the mamsy pamsy Liberals???????????????????? Clegg and co!
