The longer May does not call a General Election, the more the Tories will tear themselves apart over Europe getting nastier in the process. The longer she delays, the more Johnson, Davis, Fox and others, shoot themselves in the foot and make themselves a laughing stock with their contradictions and positions over leaving the EU.
That the purpose of my post crafty sign Artcle 50 the have a GE it will be a walkover for the Tories IMO!

It's horrible for Labour and Lib Dems. Conservatives will use the party whip to vote it through anyway and the rest of the MPs will essentially be voting to go against the democratic wishes of the people.

Considering almost 50% more people voted to remain than voted for the Tories in the last election then its horrible for everyone.

That may be May's 'tactic' but there is a long way to go before Article 50 is signed and a lot of backbiting, squabbling and nastiness. As Clarke said today, 'May does not want to bring her Brexit plans to the Commons. Has she noticed that her ministers have been briefing the papers, and launching attacks on ministers who disagree with them? Does she agree there should be parliamentary support for the broad strategy.

May says the government is clear about its aims. Parliament will have its say during the course of the lenghty negotiations, lasting “two years or more”, not least on the great repeal bill'.

If she gets back with a bigger majority problems solved in bold above!
It may backfire , but its a great opportunity as Labour try to recover!

She's just an expert of course, so what does she know.

Just like Chancellor of the day Ken Clarke who predicted the economy would fall off the cliff if we did not join the Euro !
The same person whos says Brexit will do the same!
Even Gordon Brown saved us by keeping out of that soon to be bankrupt currency Bruce he was more than an expert in fact he has always been useless!

Are we better of paying attention to people who don't know?

I mean lets be honest, the Euro was always a punt (pun for the Irish there), and nobody was sure what it would entail.

I was too young to understand it all then, but I'd say it's silly to give up monetary policy to other countries.

But the person in the video you quote is just talking facts.

I have no idea mate, I've not studied the IMF in great depth.

To the point though, what is she saying that's really open to interpretation?

No - one (as yet) knows until events play themselves out. If you were to make a list of economists in particular who have given timely, accurate forecasts of troubled weather ahead, that list would be pretty short.

E M U / Euro makes perfect sense if the nation state becomes a region of a superstate ... not otherwise, and if memory serves me, every economist and business leader was in favour of the U K joining in the fun,
