And it's a choice that the Tories were never going to make. That's the beauty of the EU: it sets standards. These standards might not always be as high as we would ideally want, but they are almost always higher than what the Tories and their Euro equivalents want. Any time you hear the Tories use the word "divergence", it can be assumed to mean "water down".Yay!

I have no idea "where" those exports are going to, but they've doubled since 2016. Again, it scarcely seems any more credible than the nutjobs on the other side shouting about net zero. Neither seems to have a great deal of actual data to back themselves up.
