Of course, the UK could easily have as good or better protections than the EU. But this is a choice. Yet another example of my fear these tits in charge wouldn't do anything but lower standards once we left.

And it's a choice that the Tories were never going to make. That's the beauty of the EU: it sets standards. These standards might not always be as high as we would ideally want, but they are almost always higher than what the Tories and their Euro equivalents want. Any time you hear the Tories use the word "divergence", it can be assumed to mean "water down".
 
Must be why the likes of Penny Mordaunt dont want to talk about Thatcher anymore...


 
Of course we should never have left but it will take a very brave party to put in their manifesto that they will take the UK back into the EU .

This excludes the SNP who couldn't. I think even the Lads dropped it which is shameful

Bet they don't even let their foreign owned utility and water companoes pollute their environment in order to cut costs.
