We consult with APHA, as well as the FSA, who report to cabinet office. FSA back concerns at the border, APHA are only concerned live animals or non-processed animal foods.

It’s utterly baffling. IMO, which has been shared with both parties and members of the cabinet office, is that there’ll be a major food incident within the next 25 years.

At the end of this month there hopefully sharing there risk matrix in how we’ll be dealing with this, but without the EU (who audit all these premises) I can’t see how we can have a secure border
TAKING BACK CONTROL!

How it started

How it ended

Sure Anabel will be ok.

You see this is where you lose it, “your deranged angry anti-immigrant writings”. I have no issue with legal immigration, never have and never will have. I’ve worked all over the world and loved dealing with everyone I’ve met. My children live and work across the globe and I have foreign daughters in law and grandchildren born, based and living all around the world. I get daily WhatsApp videos from Saudi Arabia, Philippines, Romania, and the USA, as well as the U.K. showing my grandkids growing up. So by all means have a go at my politics, but please don’t ever accuse me of being anti-immigrant……
So with all that said, how the hell do you support the Tories and what they've stood for the past few decades - and all they've done to us?

I just do not understand what you think they stand for that resonates with you.

I've read about this bygone era where conservative values actually stood for something and ordinary folk bought into this. But that was over half your life ago mate and people under 60 only understand this from books!

True I think.
The old conservative values started to wither in the 70s when free market small government ideas started to be talked about in political circles.
Killed off with the implimentation of that Thatcherism.
Few people under the age of that 50 or so have never known different.

There's little Conservative about the Conservative Party. They have been the party who have brought huge disruptive social and economic change in my lifetime (union smashing, free market liberalisation, abandonment of the post-war cross party consensus, privatisationof state assets, Brexit). No slow evolution there. Add in a dash of populism and there we have it.
