The Tories "managing" immigration is much better though

But you did bother @peteblue. That was your best shot. You’re right though, it really didn’t take much thought to review it.
You have tried to invent a need for people to write you a list of EU benefits, but we’re not in the EU now. Best to stick to Current Affairs.
If the idiot bluffers who got us into this mess which is partially due to Brexit had prepared properly, perhaps things would be better, but rather like your list of benefits, we are left with a mush mash of half truths, hope for the best and jingoism. Still, who knows, in “some years” time......

So, you’ve got no benefits for joining the Eu then…fine…..

Gonna be a science superpower as well. R&D funding to be at 2.4% GDP.

Lol. It was a massive stretch before all of this.

Of course, the University of Life types don't care nor understand about such things.

We no longer have to adopt compromise laws made in Brussels
We know who initiates and brings in our laws and they can be thrown out of office by U.K. voters alone.
We no longer pay into funds to subsidise new entrants and yet another level of Government
We have our own Foreign Policy and cannot be held back by vetoing by such as Hungary
We are free to agree trade deals without approval of 27 other countries
We have scuppered the pretensions of building an EU Army
We have removed the excuses from Government blaming the EU for their own failures
We are a Sovereign country again, good or bad but it’s our choice…..
This is quite a good list.
I think most points are valid.
I'm not sure you can be concerned about a veto and also concerned about an EU Army. Thats having your cake and eating it.
Also Soverignty is a grey area. The UK could have gone for the Norway/Swiss model, remaining in the EEA but blatant xenophobia scuppered that.

But yes, Brexit has afforded you more control over your laws, your ability to negotiate trade deals and removed a level of government. It has also removed the excuse of the EU for failing domestic policies.

All this at what cost.
Severely limiting freedom of movement for UK citizens in the EU and removing youselves from one of the biggest single markets in the world.
Fracturing relations across Europe and destabilizing security.
Jeopardizing a delicate peace in NI made possible by EU membership.
Hastening the breakup of the Union with indy for Scotland
Handy-capping your health and education sectors with cumbersome visa processes
Replacing EU red tape with layers of new domestic red tape.
The knock on effect of the reduced value of the pound on the economy.
Political turmoil as one leader after another failed to navigate Brexit seas
And...
this is a big one..
Giving a voice to xenophobes and racists across the country.

Your patriotic rose tinted glasses caused your heart to rule your head.

George Osborne tells Grant Shapps that Brexit is the reason Britain is stagnating. I’m sure Uncle Nobhead will disagree. Without any evidence. Or a coherent argument.

My initial reaction to this was to fume at Johnson’s rank hypocrisy. But then I remembered he has absolutely no moral stance whatsoever and will do/say anything as long as it benefits him.

Brexit was about Johnson being PM, Ukraine joining EU is about Johnson being PM again. Total consistency!
Johnson never thought for one minute that Britain would exit the EU. He didn't want Britain out of the EU.

It was a calculated marketing exercise to present himself as the outsider anti-establishment candidate hoping to ride the momentum of angry and disappointed Brexit voters right into Downing St but vitally without having to deal with the fallout from something as catastrophic as actually leaving the EU. As soon as that vote came to light his Premiership was certain but also in tatters before it began.
