The French border control have been blamed for not doing enough to manage the consequences of British Sovereignty...
In this case, probably yes. I dare say it's not France's priority but ensuring smooth transit between UK and France will surely benefit both countries.

Of course this is like shooting yourself in the foot with a pea shooter compared to doing it with a blunderbuss a la Brexit.

We've taken back control of our borders though...it shouldn't matter what the French are doing?

If only someone could have predicted there’d be chaos and queues at Dover. This was a truly unforeseeable consequence.
I really can't imagine why all those people want to go from Dover. There are many other ferry routes operating between England and the continent.

Plenty on Amazon oh bythe way the Mayor of Calais is letting all trucks lorries through as she does not want them backing up in her domain no extra checks again project fear......

No Bruce they will defy project fear , and normal checks will be done in Calias ......

Lorries at Dover whizzing through today.......over to the EU...... project fear over ...
Yes France may get awkward I am old enough to remember them burning English lambs on the border as they were superior quality meat before we joined the EEC in 1973 .......
I remember Ted heath just taking us in without a vote on a free trade policy - meltdown in the UK it settled down - we never ever voted on a political union - till 4 years ago .....
It may be bumpy, but in history it will settle down e are now an independent country free to trade worldwide, they will kick up if we thrive so let's hope we thrive .......let them form their EU army .........the cost of that we will not have to pay for .......
Don't worry our resident expert on project fear has assured us it won't happen

Down to the French sorted this am .....they put border control operatives on duty today .....

They could stop the boats coming over too if they wanted too as an EU country why do they not follow EU law where they are supposed to reside in the first country they arrive in oh plus the EU use Rwanda to deport immigrants .......

Also look at their vaccine roll out - started off an utter mess, the UK led the way ....

1. The UK wanted a hard border. This is what a hard border looks like

2. Neither of these things are true.

3. This has nothing to do with the border.
