How's that Brexit promise going of a reduction in VAT in energy bills promised by your Great Leader as a dividend from leaving the EU ?

I’ve no idea, and personally don’t give a crap. I did not vote to leave for some VAT reduction, nor £350M on the side of a bus, nor people from abroad coming to work in the U.K.. So how has your life been turned upside down having fallen off that cliff……

I know very few give a toss, but Northern Ireland is right on the edge of the cliff. I hope I'm wrong but it's hard to see a peaceful outcome.

This is the big issue and the EU have used it mercilessly, in conjunction with that cretin who previously ran the ROI to try to break up the U.K. and integrate NI into ROI…if NI want to join ROI then I wish them all the best, but attempting to force them that way I find obnoxious…….

Pete, it was a big elephant in the room from day one. A poll said that 80+ % would give up NI to achieve Brexit. You'll forgive me if I think we were never considered.

The DUP are more culpable than most but there are are fair few waiting in the wings looking for any excuse. "They haven't gone away, you know."

During Brexit, no one even considered NI tbh. So I’m not sure where this 80% would give up NI came from….

For me, just look at this man, he headed up the EU….

No one, not you nor me, nor Parliament, nor the House of Lords, nor even our PM, voted for this nonentity to rule over our country, but he did…..

He looks like a bespectacled brainbox.

Put him up against Boris and Starmer he has my vote.

As I say, no one cares for the consequences.... Which I accept, you acknowledge.

You're, I'm all right Jack position, sums you up perfectly ; no matter what lies De De Piffle spouts/spouted he can do wrong as long as it doesn't personally affect you. Doesn't the truth matter to you at all ?

So not one of you has a view on why there have been no protests outside of the Russian embassy, no one has a view as to why Corbyn or his brother Piers (who will protest about anything) have kept very quiet. Maybe, just perhaps, is it because you believe Russia is good, America/U.K. is bad…..be honest lads, just be honest. No obfuscation or mealy mouthed arguments, just be honest……

I think a lot of people would be scared to protest outside the Russian embassy.

Perhaps that's for a Russian gangster thread. Though we have not got to the bottom of the Russian involvement in Brexit - where plainly Putin wants a divided Europe.

But I don't understand what you think leaving the EU has achieved. I liked freedom to travel, reliable food standards, peace, etc.

Bollocks to that.

After the elections, one of the first tasks of an incoming Parliament is to elect a new President of the European Commission (the EU’s executive body). Member states nominate a candidate for the post, but in doing so they must take account of the European election results. Moreover, Parliament needs to approve the new Commission President by an absolute majority (half of the existing MEPs plus one). If the candidate doesn’t obtain the required majority, the member states need to propose another candidate within a month's time (European Council acting by qualified majority). For the 2014 elections, Parliament introduced the system of lead candidates. Each European political party put forward a candidate for Commission president and the party which became the biggest in the elections could propose Parliament’s candidate for the nomination for the Commission leadership.

Both Corbyn's have zilch influence regarding the situation in Ukraine, a bit like De Piffle, whose acting the Billy big bollocks fools nobody, especially the Russians.

Sounds wonderful, did you vote for him, did I? If I remember correctly David Cameron objected to him being appointed, but Merkel wanted him. So no one from the U.K. voted for him, but we had him foisted upon us by Germany….is that really how you want our country to be ruled……
