Next stop, the TUV, I reckon.Be interesting to see what happens here, though Poots will be hung out to dry by the party, when this inevitably gets hot and heavy, how hot and heavy is the question.

They were, it's been a topic for debate continually since the introduction of Common Fisheries Policy and was subject to a great deal of debate when CFP it was revised in 2014.Nice to see posters discussing the decline of the UK fishing industry, folks weren't particularly bothered about it before the referendum.
yup. They were, it's been a topic for debate continually since the introduction of Common Fisheries Policy and was subject to a great deal of debate when CFP it was revised in 2014.
It was a topic for discussion throughout these pages regarding the impact that Brexit would have on the Industry and fishing communities.
Begs the question what would the response have actually been: "doom and gloom", "project fear", "sky falling in" dismissal.yup.
I think this thread lived in the Ale House back before the brexit vote.
There seems to be a common refrain of "where was the concern about A,B or C before the referendum?"
There definitely was concern about the fishing industry, the agri industry, the auto industry, the Irish border, trade deals etc.
It was all there, different posters posting their concerns pre vote.
I know I posted about the Irish border as, coming from a border county, it's what most concerned me. And plenty more posted about all the other concerns.
It was all washed away by a tidal wave of xenophobia. (edit: not so much on here, but in general)
Begs the question what would the response have actually been: "doom and gloom", "project fear", "sky falling in" dismissal.

Some meds are getting short as well. Next time you get a script from the chemist, check out the carefully arranged shelves that mask their shortage. All Brexit? Dunno.
