My brother just lost his job as sales rep for the U.K. for an international potato company. They just won't export (directly) to the UK anymore.

Just been out and there were massive queues into both of the local petrol stations, all the way down the road from the forecourt.

Same here at the Sainsburys one. Weirdly, the Waitrose one was just normal.

Stocks at Sainsburys were ok, lower than normal, but no noticeable absentees. I filled up at the Waitrose garage cos I planned to do so anyrate cos I might need to use the car a bit more next week than I have for 18 months.
But the petrol queues at Sainsburys garage were massively longer than when we had that petrol shortage about 20 years ago.

Yes, absolutely shocking. This media/business led campaign have got what they wanted. There are No petrol shortages - if people want to panic and queue for a mile then let them. Anyway the damage has been done.
