This thread isn’t the same without @peteblue in here defending the indefensible sh!tshow that’s unfolding before our eyes.

Anyone heard from him? Remember him not being well, then radio silence.
He got a temp ban that ended and hasn’t posted since. Hoping he’s taking a break from foruming for a bit rather than anything more sinister.
Agreed he’s missed from this thread. Hope he is well.

Another example of the non-trade barriers that are such a pain in the 'arris

The lack of NHS dentists in this country is an absolute disgrace.

I moved to Bristol in March 2020 and have rang every single dentist in the area (city centre, bedminster, southville, redfield, St George etc) and not one can take on a new NHS patient.

I now have no dentist.

If anyone can prove me wrong so I can get a dentist I would be delighted.

It's messy tbh. The Czechs have an election at the moment, and the incumbent swine has been on visits to the "anti-migrant" fences in Hungary. His rhetoric is very much that they want to solve their own labour shortages by virtue of "our women" having more children and not immigration. Similar rhetoric has emerged in a few countries lately (Latvia have said similarly). There's so much fear going about at the moment, and sadly politicians are all too happy to fan those flames.

Without going in to too much detail, brexit is pretty much screwing me over right now, causing a fair amount of distress.
Fuming
Sorry to hear it, I lost about a third of my income from Brexit when it became clear that Universities would be charging student the fees that had previously applied to the 'rest of the world'. It drives me to distraction thinking of all those experiences, friendships and opportunities students on both sides of the channel are missing out on because of Brexit.

At least there's always the football.

Ah.

Can you turn up at the dental hospital? I think there's one in Bristol. If you don't get regular treatment you'll likely end up there anyway!

Yeah that's my emergency plan but it would be nice to keep that in reserve ha.

I don't have any current issues but you really don't want to wait until you're in pain before you get a dentist, I know its never easy but it usually involved just going slightly further afield. I can't find a single central Bristol dentist who will accept an NHS patient.

I'd like to blame the government or the pandemic but instead I think I'm going to blame dentists.

Stop abusing nitrous oxide and fondling your hygienist on your electric chair that goes up and down and examine my gnashers please.

Woodburn Cottage Dentist in Portishead do NHS stuff; or rather, they charge what the NHS tell them to.
