To be fair, if you don't really do much with the outside world, and you benefit by your market not being able to do so much with the outside world themselves, it probably is great. Given that we're supposed to be "Global Britain" though, it's a bit of a shambles.

Fair few more seem to be happy on the face of it being Knee deep in the big muddy... Escalation of commitment or more commonly known as "sunk cost fallacy". It's a thing being aptly demonstrated.
