As an aside, would be interesting to see the fume from certain posters and the media if the U.K. was exporting vaccines to the Eu whilst we struggled with implementing an efficient vaccination programme.
Contracts would not be so important then I imagine.

I would be fuming at my government not somebody else’s government. I expect many Europeans will be fuming at their own governments and not the U.K.. It’s only Eu and European politicians who are pointing fingers elsewhere. Why are you attempting to defend the EU in this ? ....

‘Britain innovates’ lol
It's incredible that anyone looks at this vaccines mess and concludes that the solution (and conclusion) is anything other than greater cooperation.

Aside from your feelings about Brexit, it doesn't prevent us working closely with the EU and cooperating effectively as 'Sovereign Equals'

There are things the UK has access to which the EU doesn't (world class universities) and vice versa, but everyone has settled for bickering and pettiness.

Not particularly defending them regarding vaccinations but can see why there’s anger regarding vaccination exports. Don’t think anyone comes out smelling of roses to be honest.
The idealist in me hoped that a global threat like this would bring countries together. Instead it’s looking like the opposite.

Wow up to 50% drop is UK meat sales to the Europe since Brexit, and just not credible as Just "teething problems".

"The British Meat Processors Association and its members stand ready to consult with Government and map out those solutions”.

Be standing a long time by themselves.

we have gained 4 major new customers since Brexit, with potentially 2 more. All because its easier to buy british than import.

Swings in roundabouts. Brexit has been brilliant for us

The people & citizens of the EU countries are fuming an absolutely livid with their respective governments. I work with them and speak with them on a daily basis (France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Poland etc). They are genuinely envious of what Britian has achieved on the roll out of the vaccine and just wish that their governments would sort the fiasco out. But in this strange corner of the world the EU = good & Britian = bad regardless of how succesful we have been. It's weird to degenerate and devalue your own countries achievements because they disagree with the outcome of a referendum nearly 5 years ago.
Head. Sand. Buried.

If you were a senior exec in AZ, having offered the world the cheapest vaccine with easy transportation, and then suffered all the crap that the EU have been throwing at them. What would you think and do ?.....

Currently living in Portugal and have yet to hear a single thing said against the government regarding vaccines. Regularly speak with Irish clients also who are also not ‘fuming’ You’re talking out your hoop

Utter rubbish.
I speak with Irish clients virtually everyday of the week and they say the exact opposite.
They actually said that even if they had the vaccines they don't have infrastructure to roll it out anyway.
It's you who's talking total tosh.

Ok mate. You stick with your sweeping generalisations and stereotypes and get angry when someone says you’re wrong.
