You'll find at the top of this page an interview with the Incorporated Society of Musicians saying that this is a major problem. You and I may not have a clue, but you'd assume the professional body for musicians would do, yet you choose to ignore that.
And if you prefer actual data, they produced this recently - https://www.ism.org/images/files/ISM_Fifth-Brexit-Report_May-2020_A4_Online.pdf - in which they cite 71% of UK musicians reporting a drop in income as a result of Brexit.

Your first paragraph - my reply (once again). You don't have a clue either. At least I am honest enough to lay it all out and say so.
'...As for touring the EU, I don't know the numbers of bands/musicians who tour the EU every year, so I cannot make any kind of comparison with those who don't. I suspect in normal times there is a far greater number of pro/semi-pro players who play solely in the UK than those who tour the EU, but as I say, I do not have the numbers so I can only guess, rather than post a fully-informed point...'

You also said the smoking ban affects bands getting gigs.

My lad was 10 when that came in, and had no problem getting gigs in the UK or Europe. Its just really weird that you think its a good thing that once we all open up, its will be really difficult to do so in Europe.

It did. Some venues stopped having live music because the numbers through the door fell considerably. Hard-nosed business decision to protect financial viability. Go check out pub closing following the smoking ban.

If you cannot understand the logic of that, then there's nothing more I can say on the subject. Matter closed from my end...

You using logic is off the scale.

You cant even answer a simple question. Instead you bring up an utterly unrelated (and pretty ancient) point to somehow prove something.

Whataboutery at its finest here.
