I made a similar comment the other night. They could have resolved all this with a few phone calls , one to Boris, one to AZ, and asking for a favour. But they’re arrogant and believe that everyone will bow down to them. The EU always seems to be led by a ’President’ that is a failed politician in their own country. They get power mad and haven’t a clue how to wield the power they have. Pure bullies and they know no different......
It really makes me wonder, whatever happened to the art of diplomacy?

it is definitely a dying art.

Like Patel, Bozo eh? You agree with burning £50 notes in front of homeless people?

That's what big boys or girls do, they kick us little ones around. But rest assured we have our sovereignty, is that not the mantra anymore?:coffee:

And your solution is to join the big boys kicking the little ones around so long as they dont turn on you?

Not for me that lad - hope we tell them to GTF.

If they keep pushing then go all North Korea and fire a few nukes into the ocean and watch them back off with their tales between their legs.

Remainers like the idea of an Empire and being bullies....funny that isn’t it.....

The U.K. always said it wouldn’t put up a hard border, the ROI said exactly the same. The only people who pushed for borders was the EU, yet we got the blame. Just 29 days later...hello to reality lads.....

not really, but you are on a roll so by all means keep it up

At least you’ve shown your face... Now come on, honestly, what do you really think of the EU’s performance in all this ?.....

I think they've been had over by AstraZenica, pete.

I think the best outcome now would be for everyone that AstraZenica has contracts with for this vaccine to sit down together, share details of what has been agreed in each other's contracts and then collectively threaten to impale the CEO, the board and anyone else involved unless the vaccines that we all have paid for, invested in and in our case actually mainly developed for them (edit) are delivered in full, on time.

Otherwise we just get played off against each other.

The thread seems remarkably devoid of Remainers and Eu apologists today.....
To be fair Pete, there is a bit of difference believing staying in the EU was a good thing like most on here , and the few that cant see anything wrong with the EU
I don't think there are really many on here that fall into that category,
To there credit the remainers on here are giving the EU stick as well today.
