Just moved to Portugal. Was weirdly a very sad moment for me getting my passport stamped at the airport. Just a little thing but never really hit home until then.

No idea tbh and don’t really care. I suppose if you look at it, the Eastern countries, while moaning about Brussels and rule of law etc, gain yearly subsidies and are net recipients. However looking at those who are paying in obv Germany and France will stay because they run the place and gain the most from it. Italy and Austria have been having a bit of a moan in recent years and the likes of Ireland who are increasingly net contributors may have the odd rethink. But I don’t see anyone else having either the desire, political will or indeed economic performance to contemplate it. So they will have to be content with their ever closer Union ......
