Britain’s immediate economic prospects are grim
But the real damage from Brexit will take time to make itself felt
Once again, you turn to the childish and reductive
Is Grandad Gammon not a scouser? I had no idea he was a wool, it all makes sense now.

Fair enough.
Seems to have gone a bit personal and nasty in here these days...it’s just a forum lads......
....And that’s what these threads are about, different views, another way of looking at the world.....
The Irish Border Thread....will do......
My friend, I was born in Liverpool and lived there for a good proportion of my life. My family, of which there are many, all live in Liverpool. Even though I now live in a little village somewhere in England, I have almost certainly spent more time in Liverpool than yourself, unless of course you’ve been there for 50 or 60 years... so do not try to pull the ‘I’m a scouser and you’re not’ on me....From what I see of you, you are a humourless bigot, probably with no friends, with an irrational hatred of England. So do me a favour, go into Liverpool and try spreading your normal bile in any pub once they open again, and we’ll see how you get on....
Be honest though, you’re not exactly a barrel of laughs are you.....
No mate you don’t get away that easy... how old are you...I’m guessing 30-35...and I’ve got suits older than you.....
He’s doing well lately, most sensible people now have him on ignore, but he just can’t help being a pillock. It will only take another half dozen to ignore him and It won’t be long until he’s arguing with himself...and losing......
Are you ashamed of your age. Is it some form of state secret, or would it just prove that what I said was correct. No need to answer btw, I’m pretty sure I know....
How can you have if you are only 30-35. I’ve seen us win 4 titles and numerous cups. You haven’t have you, come on be honest. It was you who mentioned Liverpool, it is you who are even now saying you’ve seen the blues more than I, but unless you are 70 then that is incorrect....come on, be brave, how old are you.....
I am on topic. You said that you have seen Everton more than I.....prove it, how old are you....

Short term'we always knew there would be short term economic harm'.
I think when most talked about it, it was largely directed at others though.
Have a lot ok at your mates post. He was the one who used that term to me.Once again, you turn to the childish and reductive 'I know you are, but what am I' defence. It's tiresome. Almost as tiresome as you laughing at every comment you don't understand.

You're saying that remainers are the racists and bigots?Have a lot ok at your mates post. He was the one who used that term to me.
Personal abuse is the way of a racist and a bigot. Funny on this thread that it is almost always the remainers who give the personal abuse!!
Like I said. The only people who give out personal abuse on here seem to be the remainers. You're saying that remainers are the racists and bigots?
You've just nuked the fridge.
Killing the pesky buzzing bees, hooorah. We have control.

Government to let farmers use bee-killing pesticide banned by EU
‘We need urgent action to restore the abundance of our insect populations, not broken promises that make the ecological crisis even worse,’ says Wildlife Trustswww.independent.co.uk
sadly not incredible that, farmers have been lobbying for it for ages even though we know what the outcome has been
Reckon the failure to include finance sector in Johnson Brexit deal is a huge failure of statecraft which will come into much quicker and harder focus given the effects of the Pandemic. Many axes could and should continue to grind over the way it has operated however, we need finance sector operating at full optimum capacity.

How the City of London got screwed by Brexit in week one
Boris Johnson has told us that the City of London will ‘adapt and prosper mightily’ after Brexit. But the industry itself is rather less confident, reports Ben Chuwww.independent.co.uk
Financial institutions based in London, UK or International, have been putting steps in place. There have been European satellite entities created to allow for European trade orders to be re-routed to European exchanges and clearing services. The impact will be relatively minor on trading via the LSE. LCH, via CREST etc. That business will continue relatively unaffected. The City will continue to adapt, as it has always adapted to the needs of the markets and money will continue to be made through trading.
