Seems to have gone a bit personal and nasty in here these days...it’s just a forum lads......
Tensions run high at times over his subject. Dunno about anyone else but this is the only place I really discuss such things. Easier to be a dick and make casual aspersions of someone online instead of if you were actually having a face to face discussion. For what its worth I think (the majority) of people who are regular contributors to this thread are probably sound enough, just some like yourself, have very different ways of viewing the world.

Statutory instruments removing EU state aid rules. Nothing like taking back control of your laws in order to completely bypass the legislative process and any associated scrutiny.

Something something Sovereignty....
The only benefit is the removal state aid and should be easy for Brexit, to remove EU interference on state aid and have something sovereign with transparency and accountability, so how it is set up is important.
As Goodlaw is very good at casting it's eye over where and how our monies is being spent, and is hot on heels taking our Government through the courts in relation to unaccounted £billions spent on PPE during this ongoing pandemic.

'do-gooders' and 'activist lawyers'.

Personally I'm very thankful for their work safeguarding constitutional convention and the rule of law.

I know our resident Brexit voters don’t like discussing this subject, but this short Guardian article struck a chord with me. Although I’m a white guy, this article mirrors many of my feelings and details those that I’ve seen in foreign national friends.
I don’t honestly know (or particularly care) whether we will be financially better off after Brexit. I have absolutely no knowledge of trade deals and would say they are very low down the list of things that are of concern to your average citizen.
