And I still blame Varadkar for doing so. He very nearly undermined a deal and it was only with Boris threatening the Internal Market Bill that the Eu understood that we were heading for a no deal. A no deal would have been painful for the U.K. but we would have got by, it would have killed the ROI.....
That’s demonstrably untrue. Ireland would have been hit the hardest of the EU nations but still would have taken a smaller hit to their GDP than the U.K. by over 2%, based on the economic impact studies of both Nations.

Yeah threatening to break International law was a master stroke, and the deal was in no way concluded by him bending over and taking a herring up the hoop.

Yes I've been negative, because there is absolutely no 'kin idea of how this is supposed to work as far as I can see. "Wait and See". Wait for what? What are you working on? How are you helping the Eel Man? How are you going to navigate all the new layers of red tape and checks? How are you going to be competitive?

If this eventually works out, it will most likely be because of people who ask these questions, look for actual detail and hold their government's feet to the fire, not the lads who sit back and say "sure we'll see how it goes". I admire your unwavering positivity, but right now it looks like the UK needs more than a few lads crossing their fingers and toes
When I say wait and see, I mean I'm not going to moan and complain about something that hasn't happened yet and may not happen. I didn't mean that the country should just wait and see what happens next, which is what I think you are implying. You're taking my words out of context.

I'm absolutely sure that there are thousands of business owners around the country who are taking the initiative and looking for ways to exploit Brexit and I know that many are trying to hold the government to account. For instance, local fishermen in the South West are livid at the volume of paperwork required to export fish to the EU once we are a third nation. They are basically what we need to export fish to none EU countries, and go way beyond what is required to meet the EU import rules. They want the rules changed so we just need to meet the EU requirements.

Once again, I agree government needs to be doing more. But I'm certain business owners are doing everything they can within their current remit.

Aside from setting up a consultancy on how to deal with Brexit red tape and maybe an outsourcing business to take care of the mountains of import / export paperwork for SME’s. I’m struggling to think of any tangible ways to exploit Brexit from Friday onwards. You got any tangible examples like?

Pete saying more of them would have died if they’d been in charge of their own country is pretty bad (as well as wrong). When you add it to your other statements it’s hard to see it as anything other than a bit of the old racism.

Pete gets a few in him, drapes himself in a Union Jack and says some unfortunate things, but I don't believe for a minute he's a racist. Or that he actually wanted to nuke Tehran (Well at least I was hoping he was joking about that)

Can’t wait for my delivery of a big chunk of Sovereignty on Friday. I hope it comes with a huge free bonus of tangible benefits of Brexit and is delivered by Unicorns farting rainbow glitter.

Exciting times.
