But then again, I suspect the capacity for empathy was probably a huge differentiator between those who voted leave and those who voted to stay
That's the general conception of the remain contingent who have adopted the moral high ground. That's not the situation in my experience as most leave voters I've met and spoken too have young family, whether that be their own children or their grandchildren, who are the most important things in their lives. They would never do anything intentional to ruin or harm their futures. They simply believed that their futures would be better served outside of the EU rather than inside. And for that they've been called many things from racist, to Little Englanders to thick.

Thats quite simply, because over 4 years, every single "reason" they give, when actually questioned in detail about the voracity of said "reason", they collapse in a heap.

That would seem to indicate you don't tend to put stock in research created by experts, be interested to know what sources you think are reliable.
I listen to the experts. But they get some things right and they get things wrong. Especially when they try and predict what will happen in the future. That's all I was saying.

Form filling, customs checks, export declarations, etc. More red tape and bureaucracy for our exporters to deal with resulting in increased costs to businesses which will be passed on to the consumer.

The extra hassle and delays for exporters trying to use the GB landbridge to transport goods to and from mainland Europe.

Any form of Brexit is bad for Ireland. This is being imposed on us against the wishes of everyone. The trade deal which has been negotiated is merely the least bad option. However the peace agreement and the all-island economy have been protected, and we have Michel Barnier to thank for that.

There are some the possible positives though, as you have mentioned. Every cloud and all that.
The same inconveniences that will face every trader on both sides, that will very much become second nature after the initial upheaval and cost absorption. Still lots of upsides though compared to other EU nationals.

Who were you before you changed your name mate?
