We had the vote, there is no uncertainty.....We are leaving....the markets know this and have already passed judgement...
and their judgement is 'this is not good for us'. Their solution is 'lets exert as much power and influence as we can to delay this happening'. Unfortunately, the markets have more power than the people. This will drag on for years while the powers that be search for a reasonable way out of this.

As a member of the EU that is reliant upon it for trade and probably has hundreds of thousands of its people living and working in other EU countries, surely their opinion counts?
I wonder what financial contribution they made to join compared to the uk's?

I've no idea what I'm reading there, but its worth reminding the soft-right brexiteers:

NOT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT MONEY.

The markets haven't passed judgement on a thing that is unknown. Leave the EU without 'passporting' for the financial sector and the markets will act accordingly. Similarly, leave the EU without a free trade agreement, and using WTO tariffs will hit the UK car industry hard by pushing up the cost of producing UK cars. The markets will react accordingly. This May government haven't a clue what to do and are like rabbits frozen in the headlights. One person is saying one thing only to be contradicted by another. The soundbite 'Brexit means Brexit' hasn't arrived yet when it does the markets will act accordingly.
