Seeing a lot of this in the comments. You would think, with the huge amount of guidance and detail they've been given, that they would be able to deal with small issues like a 10% increase in costs

I do a lot of work with the European Commission directly so it's always nice when that buffoon works so hard to trash the reputation of Brits as people that can be dealt with.

Not sure who this bloke is, but sadly I'm not surprised with what he's written. We all knew in last years election that he would be a complete mess of a PM. Just look at his track record and failures in pretty much all of his political career. Just look at his CV, literally the only thing he's done well (and this is very much debatable) is writing semi entertaining opinion pieces in the national press.

Crashing out will be an unmitigated disaster. Far less than half the population wanted a no deal brexit. There's absolutely no mandate for it. A total power grab by the far right who have depressingly took control of our country.

So you concede it will be bad for the economy but now Covid is the excuse for doing it anyway...

Ah the glorious never-ending cycle of the brexiteer blame game.

I appreciate we can’t all keep up with what everyone posts, especially for over 4 years, but I’ve always said there will be a short term economic hit, right from the very beginning. However, I am more than happy to leave with no deal, no manacles or oversight from the EU, it’s institutions and its bureaucracy. The reason that the EU have tried every trick to keep us shackled to their rules and laws, and now to threaten us, is because they know that we will have flexibility to quickly adjust our regulations and taxation to suit ourselves, while negotiating trade deals at a speed that the EU can only dream about......let’s get on with it....

But we will now be shackled to to the laws and rules of the WTO.......

In a nursing home? Just die already.
Starving child? Tough, you deserve it.
Fleeing a war-torn country? Drown, you freeloading scum.
Fish that might possibly end ip in a foreign net? WE WILL LiTERALLY START A WAR TO PREVENT THIS HAPPENING!!!

But we will now be shackled to to the laws and rules of the WTO.......

Trading with anyone involves having standards and rules agreed by both parties, and that’s how it should be. Having those standards and rules dictated by the EU, and updated as the EU wish, in perpetuity and without U.K. involvement is not a sensible agreement, but that is what the EU want us to sign up to......
