It was guaranteed under the WA signed previously, however with Johnson new idiotic opt out bill, who knows.
Could be at the mercy of the French authorities.
I see I got a finger for my previous comment. Nice!.

Not good, and I'd imagine a lot of British expats, especially those that are retired, are in a similar boat. Hopefully Johnson and his gang of knobheads don't mess up what has taken so long to forge.

I know @spectateur mentioned this recently. One more "benefit" of leaving. Cheers lads.

from the same article....

”The arrangement, known as “passporting”, expires at the end of the year and, while the UK has legislated so that EU banks can continue to provide services for customers in Britain, the EU has not done the same.”...Cheers EU.....

Hahaha, your lads have really got this negotiation stuff sorted...

One side trying to be sensible and look after people within its boundaries and one side doing everything it can to ‘punish’ people within its boundaries. One of the ‘benefits’ of our exit and current negotiations is for U.K. people to finally see exactly what a nasty and spiteful group the EU really is....

Haha, we're out, stop focussing on trying to make the EU out to be the evil villain and bring them unicorns home.

the Nats just want to escape the U.K., and of course this is the greatest opportunity they’ll ever have
Looking at it, it's fairly ambiguous, as it could subjectively be interpreted to mean their country doing well out of it, lol, still, the optomistic Greens ffs

So, why have the brilliant UK negotiating team not been able to obtain reciprocal arrangements. Why have agreed to a situation that requires each UK bank to arrange separately with each of the 27.
UK banks thus claim its not worth the effort to provide for their EU based customers.
