Oh thanks for that. I mean there's no way a police force might be tempted to cover up such a thing, right? If they did the press would surely expose it!

Top tip of the day. Question everything!

This incident does not, in any way, prove that Sweden has some kind of rape problem, or support your original claim that immigrants have made Sweden the 'rape capital of the Western world'. I mean, talk about having an agend.

Here, we have an incident at a festival in which there are sexual attacks (note the omission of the word rape, by the way, and the differences of rape and sexual assaults), by 'mostly' immigrants. It doesn't state how many attacks, it doesn't state how many perpetrators, it doesn't even say if the police recording them in their official stats, which I'm sure they did, all it says is that the press didn't cover it.

So no. I'm afraid your clams of immigrants all fleeing to Sweden to 'rape' everyone are totally unfounded off the back of a story which has nothing to do with your claim.

Top top of the day. Don't ignore the facts!

http://www.politico.eu/article/far-right-dutch-politician-backs-mosques-koran-ban-islamic-schools/

"In its five-year plan for 2017-2021, the Freedom Party pledges to reverse the “Islamization” of the Netherlands by implementing measures such as closing mosques and Islamic schools, securing borders, banning the Koran, closing asylum seeker centers, banning Muslim migrants and forbidding women from wearing headscarves.

Wilders’ party also supports holding a Brexit-style referendum for the Netherlands to leave the European Union."

Project Fear or something though I guess.

Blaming the Swedish festival rapes on migrants isn't just wrong – it's ...

Blaming the Swedish festival rapes on migrants isn't just wrong – it's dangerous
Alexandra Pollard
Swedish police withdrew their statement that a gang of foreigners had assaulted women at a festival last weekend – but by then the damage was done.

'However much the media (and sometimes the police, it would seem) like to suggest otherwise, the threat of rape and sexual assault at festivals does not simply come from some easily pigeonholed “other”. It’s wrong to lay the blame, as we do for so many of the world’s problems, on a faceless foreign mass. To do so is to derail an issue that badly needs addressing. Because it’s not as though these were isolated incidents, confined only to Swedish festivals where foreigners are present. Far from it.

In 2009, a woman was raped at Reading festival. In 2010, a 16-year-old boy was found guilty of attacking a 12-year-old girl at Secret Garden Party and two women were raped – in unrelated incidents – at Latitude. In 2013, two women were assaulted at Wilderness festival. Last year, a man was arrested on suspicion of raping a woman at V festival'.

If you're arguing against Seanjd, then I believe you've chosen the wrong article to do so. Even the last paragraph that you've pasted goes against the narrative of evil brown people raping our womz because it indicates that such a problem is already quite widespread and that it isn't solely linked to migrants.

As for the headline, which I'm sure a lot of people are eager to work themselves up into a fervour over, the two paragraphs prior to the ones you pasted state the following,

'The police later admitted that only two of the seven men or boys arrested for the Putte i Parken incidents were from HVB homes – residential homes for young people, often refugees without parents. There’s even less evidence to suggest the rapes at Bravalla were carried out by immigrants – but the two were instantly lumped together. “The wording was unfortunate,” read a second statement, “and we will take that to heart."

It was too late by then, of course. The buzzwords had already been unleashed, seized and extrapolated upon until they had become the main story. Reporting from the UK, the MailOnline’s news story cited authorities as identifying the perpetrators of the assaults as “young men, who are foreigners.”; the Telegraph’s headline warned of “reports of rapes by ‘migrants’”. And so an inaccurate, retracted police statement, and one victim’s speculation that they were “probably immigrants” turned into fact.'

which sums up why the headline is a sensible one. It's not some conspiracy by Leftist SJW Marxists lol to let certain people get away with heinous crimes such a rape, but rather a reasonable justification on why it's harmful - and in a lot of cases just plain false - to just blame the migrants.

Did you read the whole article by the way?

There is not a single mention in the article about immigration contributing to the figures. In actual fact, the entire article is based on the figures being explained by differences in legal procedures and attitudes.

Have a read of this article - http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/why-are-rapists-not-convicted-uk-1432600 - which explains why reporting of rape is so low in this country. Hint - it relates to procedures/attitudes as well, not immigrants.

Do you have any evidence whatsoever for high records of rape being linked to immigration, or are you just on a Trump inspired rant of trying to call all immigrants rapists?

Of course they want a referendum. Anyone who loves their nation and believes in it would not want their country to be a mere state in the United States of Europe.

I did indeed read the whole article. I wasn't 'arguing' with Seanjd, I was providing information that was to counter the 'anti immigrant hysteria' about Sweden and sexual offences at festivals.

Who are some of the main people in the Alt Right?
lol Prove it.

Okay, well.. I'll try! Milo Yiannopoulos is obviously quite big with the movement. There's a huge element of the alt-right which is very 'anti-feminist' and 'anti-SJW', so a lot of those YouTube personalities - or basically just demagogues - are also quite popular with the movement. There are also a few politicians idolised by them, Nigel Farage being one of them. I'd also say Geert Wilders falls into that category, which is in great part due to his hard-line stance on Islam and Muslims.

I'd hard to name the main people. Largely because it's quite difficult to accurately define what the movement is, but also because it's largely just a lot of angry anonymous people on the internet who do and say very nasty things.

It'd probably be easier for me to list the things alt-righters believe in, rather than who the main people are.

Who do you think the main people are, btw? And what do you think of their actions/beliefs/aims?

But the article doesn't counter the anti-immigrant hysteria, instead it simply highlights it and discusses why it's harmful. Articles highlighting a problem aren't evidence that such a problem doesn't exist.

On my way home from the match so can't go into depth but I think this was a good summary.

I wouldn't class Milo as Alt Right tbh.

When I said, "Milo Yiannopoulos is obviously quite big with the movement," I made sure not to say he was part of the movement, because like I said it's hard to define. I know that a lot of alt-righters do like him, though.

Also, I'm not a fan of Sargon at all. He's another anti-feminist demagogue who's good at talking at videos and taking them out of context (as stated more in-depth here http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Sargon_of_Akkad#General_problems) but when challenged in debates, like the ones he had with Jenni Goodchild, Kristi Winters and the fella from Majority Report, he's shown up to be a bit clueless. Although I will say that in this particular video, he does make some good points against the alt-right, but he also made some very transparent excuses for the movement as well. Judging by the number of dislikes he received, I think it's fair to say that a fairly large portion of his audience which is alt-right didn't appreciate the criticism. lol Anyway I'll put a couple of links which I think are more accurate in describing the alt-right at the end of this post.

Black Pigeon Speaks is another one popular within the alt-right and I think there's a strong case to make that he is part of the alt-right. I could name a lot of other anti-feminist channels, but for the sake of our conversation I'm sticking to ones I'm pretty much certain of. I'd argue that the idiotic racist, sexist buffoon David Aurini is also part of the alt-right.. He is entertainingly stupid though LoL A couple others I'd lump in would be Atheism-is-Unstoppable and Bearing. Also, let's not forget the cesspitt of unbridled Alt-Rightery, /pol/.
