No idea mate. You are the captain of industry and ace negotiator; all I saw was a minister saying this new deal/law would break international law. This to be done to an oven ready brexit deal that I assume you reckon is pretty good.
It's in Hansard and everything...

Roydo, no need for this. Do I ever treat you with disrespect and preface a comment with you are this or that, before actually making a comment. We’re better than that in here, or so I thought.....

I most certainly do agree. And if the EU actually followed the WA using best endeavours in good faith we wouldn’t be having this debate....

I kind of get the impression that you think "negotiation" means "accede to every UK demand". Your boys are all over the place here Pete. Part of me thinks you recognise what a clownshow this whole thing has been but you have to double down to save face.

No we haven’t. We have left the Eu and are negotiating for a suitable trade agreement. Whichever way it goes, trade will continue between the UK and the EU. The CPTPP is in addition, and our exporters will be very happy about this....
I though we'd left because Brexit has been done. Negotiating takes two sides, I'm sure Liz Truss and Tony Abbott will rise to the occasion ....
I'm sure there's been wide consultation of exporters, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

So it is the EU and only the EU...The rules are the rules.....it’s like a scene from comedy programme, but ve must follow ze rulz......

pete we’ve done this dance a thousand times if we don’t have a border somewhere how do we control movement into the country , how do we prevent the free movement and immigration from the EU From both EU and non EU citizens into the UK and mainland Britain ?

That’s not taking back control , it’s laughable to suggest we’d have better control of our borders in these circumstances. I accept that for you immigration wasn’t a huge issue but it was for many on your side of the debate and to then simply pretend it’s no longer an issue seems bizarre .

International trade isn’t really an area I have much knowledge on , like most things really , but wouldn’t WTO most favoured nation mean we’d need a border as well ? Or face litigation.

Fair enough, soz like.

Point remains though; the deal that Johnson signed off is now not any good. His words, not mine. And because of that, his Government will break the law, fundamentally damaging future trade deals, due to the dilution of trust in our Government.

Like, EU aside, you dont reckon that isnt really all that great?

Yet everyone else is arguing that the U.K. should negotiate against its own interests, for whatever reasons.....

The UK has come up with a solution and all it takes is to break their treaty commitments, which I'm sure won't have any consequences in the future for the UK's international standing.

Somebody has to compromise at some point. I've no idea why the EU, who are arguing for a continuation of the status quo for the citizens of one member and one non-member state should be the one to blink first. After all, what have they got to lose?
