Now, now, no need to get personal. The generations that were sold out were those of my generation and the following ones, who, over time, were taken into a scenario that had never been voted for. It was sold to us YOUNG generation in the 1970s as an economic arrangement for trading purposes, NOT the bureaucratic monster it has evolved into.

I do hope you understand the above paragraph, youngster, as you and your kind do not have the life experience that I and my kind have. I will extrapolate further if needs be...

'Sold out the Younger generations' - yawn feckin' yawn feckin' yawn. Change the record...
I'm probably classed as middle aged mate. Gives me a balanced view of what's happening to be honest. I reckon I've got loads more life experience than you.

Especially if you voted for something championed by Boris Johnson and Michael Gove, and something pretty much every respected economist said we shouldn't do.

But, yer know, dem Poles and all that.

Yeah mate and you had the benefit of what it brought for your entire working life.

We've become one of the wealthiest economies on the planet in the interim to boot.

Now, having lived through all of that and had the benefit of it - your generation - whilst sitting on it's arse drawing down final salary pensions in mortgage free property have plunged the next generations into an economic black hole, that no-one knows how deep it is, or what exactly is the other side of it.

And for what exactly?

If you think you've got loads more life expereience than me, then good on ya! You hardly know the first thing about me!

And you still fall into the trap of thinking that leave voters slavishly adore/follow the likes of Johnson & Gove. How foolish! We can make our own minds up as to how we believe this country should go forward. You can stick with those idiots Cameron & Osborne and the like. And you say you have more life experience than me? I do believe you have a HELL of a lot of catching up, mate!!! Being a big name on this forum does not mean you are all-singing and dancing in the real world.

And the words 'respected' and 'economist' in the same phrase are a contradiction in terms... Those types have been bullshitting the nation through the media for decades. They were handed their arses in this election (to use a Yank phrase), and they, and Wayne on here, don't like it!

Only they weren't.

As their pre-referendum predictions are proving to be correct.

If what you actually mean, is that the Leave vote stuck a collective 2 fingers up to their advice, then that really showed 'em eh mate....

Full of conjecture mate. You must have some life experience if you can dismiss the best economists in the world. And what does "a name" mean on here haha? It's a football forum you Eastern European hating old fool.

Get out and see the world more for some life experience mate. Appreciate different cultures. Stop listening to the hateful and myopic. Stop being selfish and think of the younger generation.

Here's me giving you some great advice for free.

Benefit? What benefits were there when mortgage interest rates were at 15% under Thatcher in the 1980s? Did the EU (or whatever it was then) come to the defence of the ordinary people of this country? Bolocks they did! Show me the benefit of Thatcher and Howe seeking to let Liverpool (and probably other major Northern cities) 'wither on the vine' in the 1980s. A quite deliberate policy involving the manipulation of the the Government subsidy to Councils, framed in such a way that councils like Liverpool were totally shafted. Yeah, I lived through that. Great times - NOT! Did you live through that...???

As for final salary pensions, I suggest you go check the actual financial calculations of what is involved in them. You may be surprised at the outcome. It's called getting screwed over by the money-men and financial market (no surprise there then).

As for an economic black hole, pray tell me where that is exactly. You are simply urinating into the wind on that matter, because your contention cannot be supported by facts in any way, shape or form. Unless you trot out the usual more-right-wing-than-Hitler economists who will preach your doom and gloom for ever and a day.

Another one [Poor language removed]-scared of change. [Poor language removed]-scared of the fact that the future might be tough for them, instead of being an easy passage through life - a product of the 'nanny-state' where everything is handed on a plate to them. Don't feckin' preach to me about tough times. Getting out of the EU will be the best thing to happen to the UK in a long time, away from those useless bureaucratic nonentities who presently dictate a lot of what goes on here...

He sounds like my auld fella tbh.

In fact if it wasn't for the fact my auld fella can't turn a computer on for fear of accidentally turning off the National grid, I'd think it was genuinely him ffs.

My auld fella is a racist, flag waving, raging Tory who hankers for the days of the Empire btw.

He is saying the exact same things as a few of me mate's arl fellas. I love them dearly but if we can't goad them then we truly have lost everything that is dear to us.

Me dar was quiet last night while listening to me talk about Brexit. I'm taking that as he defo voted Remain...

You need to understand what the phrase means before you answer to it... Hilarious!!!

And if you and other remain advocates seriously believe that the economy only started to tank after 23rd June, then you all really need to take a reality check. Or failing that, all hold hands and shout 'BOO' to the election result.

Get over it!

What has Thatchers hideous policies of the 80's got to do with our EU membership? And yes I did live through it thanks all the same, in fact I had to do a Norman Tebbit and leave my City of birth in order to find work.

As for 'product of the Nanny State', I'm a product of hard work, determination and never giving up. I've done alright for myself as a result, but came from nothing, and no-one has ever handed my anything on a plate old stager.

As for your prediction that leaving the EU will be the best thing to happen to us in a long time, you're completely deluded if you actually believe that absolute tripe. The economists that you're so quick to decry have virtually universally been proved correct so far. The pound is tanking, GDP is already falling, and without a free trade deal post Article 50 being invoked we'll cease to be a realistic choice for global business to invest in, and the downward spiral will continue for God knows how long.

Let's take these one by one, smart arse.

Not conjecture at all. Read.

Just set store by economists because they are in line with your views - simples. Nothing more.

About your name on here - yeah, you're one of the big names, and you put your views around on here big style. Fine. I'm not taken in by all the piss and wind.

As for hating Eastern Europeans. Nah, you've got that wrong. You see, you know nothing about me. I do not hate east Europeans. What you have said betrays your bitterness and vituperation towards those who voted to leave. You dropped your guard there, chico...

'old fool'. Old, yeah. Fool? Keep on thinking that. It's what draws idits like you in to making the 'east European' remark and showing you up for what you really are.

'Get out and see the world more for some life experience, mate' So you know every single thing about my life? Er, no. In fact you know almost jack-[Poor language removed] about my life, so to make a comment like that again shows you up to be someone who just wants to score points. Pathetic, mate, pathetic.

You haven't a clue as to how many different cultures I have been involved with. Come on, chico, tell me and the forum all about it. I probably have a wider range of contact/appreciation of different cultures than you have, but hey, I really don't give a [Poor language removed] about such trivial things the way you do.

Who am I listening to? Tell me. Who am I listening to? You seem to be all-knowing. Tell the forum. What's the expression? Put up or shut up.

You say I am being selfish and not thinking of the younger generation. Really? REALLY? Just because I have a different point of view to you. Let's put it this way. I am not being selfish, you are being stupid in making that statement. As for thinking of the younger generation, that is EXACTLY why I voted leave. Read many of my other posts in this thread for the reason. I can't be arsed repeating things over and over and over again.

You have not given me any advice. You have simply blown your own trumpet again, chico. Well, not so much a trumpet, more a tired old ragman's bugle...
