Incredible stuff. Contrast that with our overall net contributions for our entire membership period:

Good thing we've got our new passports and stopped unaccompanied child refugees from sponging from our health service though guys, otherwise we'd be making a terrible mistake.

It's all irrelevant though isn't it? The referendum was close enough, and the election after it clearly showed the division that still exists, and yet the Tories have just won a thumping majority. We're [Poor language removed]. No facts or logic matter any more, and for the next 4 months we have no opposition because they're focused purely on willy waving amongst themselves.

It's purely for illustration about how bad an idea it is at this point. No legal route to stop it. But, as leave voters have repeatedly told everyone they 'won and this is precisely what they voted for'.

They get to own it now.

There is a legal route for yourself ... you can always go and move to an EU state.

That money that we have pissed down the drain would be enough to put an extra 350 million a week into the NHS for over 8 years. But least Johnny Foreigner can't get into the country...until that gets exposed as a lie too.

It also happens to be a legitimate option if you're so fearful that the UK is going to become a basket case like you've indicated...
what if he has kids in school, property, friends, family, a job etc etc etc, you know little things like that would make it tricky to up sticks and just leave even when a bunch of right wing belters are intent on making life worse for people

This might be a problem when the Domino effect after the success of Brexit sees me being faced with the prospect of being told to 'go back to where you're from' from whatever country I land in when they inevitably decide to do it for themselves.
That wonderfully tolerant EU ... I thought that was the whole reason for remaining, to mitigate racist little Englanders . The EU will of course go from strength to strength without the UK was the other argument. Yet you don't seem so convinced of that now?

I would have thought it was the responsible and necessary thing to do if there are such strong fears of imminent economic collapse in the UK..

In fairness mate you don't have to go back very far in this thread to see copious amounts of willy waving when Johnson was losing vote after vote prior to the election.

As you know, I was probably the only person on this forum that wanted the May deal to go through, and warned at the time of the possible consequences of Labour not backing it.

Realistically all we can do now is wait and see what develops over the next 5 years, and not just in terms of Brexit. Johnson has the numbers to almost do whatever he wants within reason.
