They do say that being gracious in victory is easier than being gracious in defeat and this thread is proof indeed.
If you are holding yourself up as an example that is absolutely hilarious, you've done nothing but rub peoples genuine fears in their face. Treating a result that change many peoples lives for the worse like a football result

Always think it’s mad when they say that we should just accept the vote and accept all decisions that are made thereafter. They talk about democracy, but it’s a democratic right to oppose this shitstorm.
I will always oppose brexit, simply because it was a vote driven by racism and xenophobia.

I've already seen it negatively impact on people, i believe strongly against brexit and was disgusted by the nature of the campiagn and absolutely repulsed by the people at the forefront of it. At no point will i sit back and say well done and crack on while there is the smallest glimpse of hope that this madness can be stopped

Just for clarity Pete can you tell us the good points of kids from ordinary backgrounds being unable to study abroad for free, or the protection on workers rights being removed, or child refugees not being reunited with their parents, or people who've lived in the UK for years not being given the right to permanent residence or those people being able to appeal their immigration decisions?

I don’t remember voting for any of those things when we joined....,

In what way have you seen a negative impact. The only madness is the madness you are bringing on yourself with this obsession to ignore a democratic vote.....

And yet many of those that voted to leave were the same people who voted to join.....

So they didn't exist in the 70s so they have no benefit now?

The irony of posting that on the internet

Within this thread, we’ve had a bellyfull of ‘no one voted for this and no one voted for that’, I thought I might give it a go for a change......although tbf we‘ve all done it I suppose.....

Bregsit encapsulated.

Eh? where?
I know, in fact we’ve yet to see a single example of anyone being gracious in defeat......

On the contrary I can see the effects of Brexit already, being active member of the EU gave us a false sense of importance we naturally long lost. However, there has been a steady step back culminating in Iran strikes, until recently we would contributed, in small way but we would have been involved. Now we are, well down the list to even know, that is only good news to me.

Northern Ireland is all but gone now, and Scotland will have its independence referendum, there is no doubt. The UK and Britain has now moved from palliative care to end of life. I don't see these as negative more of a rebirth. We will be lessened smaller even reinvented and new, however, with that comes true sense of who we are as a small country in the 21st century...

Incredible stuff. Contrast that with our overall net contributions for our entire membership period:

Good thing we've got our new passports and stopped unaccompanied child refugees from sponging from our health service though guys, otherwise we'd be making a terrible mistake.
