Getting a lot of middle fingers from resident democrocy fans today...not sure why they hate the will of the people?

We voted for this parliament in 2017. We all knew what we were voting for.

It's worrying how close Corbyn came to being the prime minister of the uk back in 2017. The guy only managed to get a couple of Es in his A-levels, and dropped out of a Trade Union course at his local polytechnic after only a year. Not only is he not a leader, he's just not intelligent enough to lead the country (or, apparently his party).

Thankfully the shine has worn off and he's doing dreadfully in pretty much every poll. Let's hope that continues. lol

Yeah, and the results of that election were respected. The elected MPs entered parliament, they've been there since, voting on things and doing parliamentary stuff. It's not the same as not respecting the result of the referendum, if that's what you're getting at.

So academic results mean more to you? Question his leadership qualities by all means but dont sink as low as questioning his intelligence. look at johnson the criminal...eton educated and spouts utter piffle waffle.

Surprisingly, I am not myself convinced that Corbyn expected to be elected leader, but in the circumstances I think he has acquitted himself well. He certainly has a better grasp of detail than johnson or swinson, but I think he is more suited being a fine back bench MP as he has been for a long time. It is a terrible reflection on our society that those people you describe as "normal folk" believe the lies and crap spouted by johnson. I consider myself a normal person but I realised from my teens that the decisions taken by our MPs affect every aspect of my life, so I became interested in politics amongst many other things. Sorry but those who say "politics don't affect me' are naive and I wish more folk would actually stop and question every aspect of the way in which decisions made by politicians have an effect on their lives, be they right, left, centre, or Zone 14 supporters...

Dr Piffle got a 2.1 in Classics so he can spout meaningless and unfunny Latin bon mots ; just want we need to for a leader of the country.
If this is the type of leader (below) I'm lost for words.

You’d prefer the habitual liar who, in the words of his partner, is spoilt and doesn’t care about anything?
Corbyn has many, many faults, but I believe he is fundamentally a decent person, who is trying to do what he believes is best for the population as a whole. Johnson cares only for his ego.

This election in December is very far from a done deal - the language coming from the SNP tonight looks dangerously close to Corbyns impossible request to have no deal taken off the table before acquiescing to an election. In fact I don’t think the bill will pass tomorrow

So, how did the "wrong Milliband" set the party back 20 years? Because he couldn't eat a bacon butty properly?

And in actual fact the “right Milliband” was very instrumental in “setting the party back 20 years” with his unconditional and slavish support for Blair’s Iraq debacle.

It was precisely because of his stance over that war that he could not get himself elected as leader after Mr. Brown.

If anyone thinks David Miliband was, or even still is, the answer to Labour’s problems they have not understood the question.

So explain to me, why is Corbyn's request 'impossible?" thank you.
