The consequences of leaving/staying should have been made crystal clear PRIOR to the referendum....but they weren't.

I think you are trying to re-write history. Actually, it was made clear....it was made very clear.

This was posted to every household in the UK. https://assets.publishing.service.g...ean-union-is-the-best-decision-for-the-uk.pdf

Which part of this do you find unclear?

Biased bits aside, It's actually proven to be quite accurate, and all voters had the best possible chance of access to it.

Showing your youth there....my son now 21 loved Captain Caveman...I'm more of the Captain Scarlett generation....oh dear.
The Conservatives – sworn enemies of Socialism. Possessing the ability to dupe the naive and entice the greedy. But first, they must destroy ... Leading the fight, one man fate has made indestructible. His name: Captain Corbyn.

Duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duuh

Corbyn says no deal has to be taken off the table.

We thought that meant 31st Oct must pass without a hard brexit.

We now know what that actually means - Johnson must accept a customs union and a 2nd ref.

They've done the first one (as has Johnson), and the Labour leadership probably think an election is the best way of taking his lead away.

I would be surprised if Labour reject this - if its certain there is an extension, it is agreed by the EU before the vote on the election, and if the date cannot be changed by the MP (which it can be under FTPA).

They really havent discredited Johnson in the public's eyes. He's been shown up as a liar, a cheat and totally untrustworthy but to millions of idiots he's "good old Boris".

...i’ll still vote Labour but voters they need to win the election will not vote for Corbyn to be PM. Folk on here continue to defend him, but the reality is he puts voters off.

This is a dreadful Tory Government, but this Momentum Labour Party will struggle to shift them.

This. Just as in my world I dont actually know any Leave voters I do know lots of folk that switched to Labour under Blair but now wouldnt touch Corbyn with a bargepole. I hope the likes of @davek and @tsubaki are right in their faith Corbyn can deliver but I'm far from convinced
