Thing is the narrative on getting Brexit done has been won hands down by the Tories. To a man the Leave vote think Johnson has done his all to meet the 31st October deadline only to be cheated and frustrated by the Remain establishment.

They dont care hes lied to parliament etc. That's all fair game.

This is where Labour's message is so weak as a consequence of Corbyn's failings as a leader and the poor structure he has around him. You're right - Johnson's lies should skewer him but he's getting off Scot free at the moment
As I pointed out in yesterday's chat.

The more I hear from the PM, Government Ministers and the Brexit Secretary, the more I am convinced they have no idea about the detail of the Withdrawal Agreement Bill...

Everything is contradictory, vague and confused. Almost as though when you have to turn it from sound bite into reality it stops making any sense.

They know full well what it is. The problem they're having is disguising it - particularly the fact (and it is fact) that it separates Northern Ireland from the United Kingdom.

Yes that's my take. The rush through in Parliament was an appalling action given how critical a piece of Legislation it is.

As such the Government is having an awful time trying to explain it, and even more alarmingly, in some instances, are surprised by the content.

You can break that down to where does Scotland end? Where does the North East end? Where does Cornwall end?

At the end of the day, they are all parcels of land with ancient borders and a common name; who actually lives in which bit and how they view others in the same bit of random land isnt really dependent on anything.

Indeed. The Shetland Isles would have voted to leave Scotland if Scotland voted to leave the U.K., oh, and they would take their oil with them.....
