Er great, but why?
Fed up hearing off them how bad the English are and they how much want to leave , well let them, let them take responsibility for themselves.
I am not remotely bothered about the Union they can all go for independence if that's what they want,Wales ,northern Ireland,Cornwall ect.
All seem to dislike the English, fine sure we will get by without them quite well.

A little Englander! In the wild!

Jo swinson writing to corbyn asking him to support second ref amendment, shame she has been an absolute cretin towards corbyn and labour since she became leader...hmmm
How can he, in conference it was passed that they would ask for a second referendum after winning power and trying to get a deal to put before the country to take or stay?
He isn't in sole charge of the Labour movement.

Do you not think all those people are bored of English people droning on about how ungrateful they are and that they can all just sod off?

Firstly, 'fed up' is the most pathetic excuse for an argument. I hear it far too often. Go away and think for a bit.

Anyway, who is 'we'? I'm English and I'm nothing like you. Why do you assume that 'we' English are all like you? Just like you assume all Welsh, N. Irish, Cornish are somehow fundamentally different to 'us'? Maybe because I live in a different part of England I am different to you and I should leave 'your' England? Maybe we live in different areas of the same city, therefore I am different to you? Different houses on the same street, different to you?
I'm taking it to an extreme but do you not see how ridiculous it is to make blanket statements about people of a country?

when do the English ever do that. most don't give it a second thought unless its the SNP going on about something on TV, i don't expect them to be grateful but if they want to go just go , they can't have it both ways constantly going on about the wonders of scotland and how good it would be if only they could run their own affairs, then turn it on English people when we say get on with it if you want, say were little englanders ect because we are not begging them to stay, we can't win either way its English oppression or English indifference its always are fault.

Oh, jeez, if only I could find an example...

I am not the one asking to leave the union because they deem themselves to be nationalists, they are separating themselves by definition as being different,
not my doing its there own.

He is absolutely bang on the money with his post.
I can guarantee if England had a vote on Scotland to leave
the union it would be 'yes' by a minimum of 60%.

To be honest with you Paul, if the people in the rest of England had a vote on kicking the City of Liverpool out, I’d say the vote would be even higher.

If there is one thing I learned during my 30 year stint as an away fan, travelling with EFC the length and breadth of this green and pleasant land, it is is that most of them hate us :)

Would brexit not have played a very big part in a increased desire to leave the union, it wont necessarily be down to nationalism as it will a far more rational desire for a better future. I don't know by the way, just a suggestion.
