I have just sent the application to renew mine. 4 weeks they reckon, so I have to wait and see what they send. Hope it's still the EU version.

if you did it on-line and included a digital photo you should get it back in around seven days if my recent experience is replicated. Going to be collectors items in nine or so years these UK/EU passports.

The Tories were the party of fiscal responsibility but have decided to max out the countries credit card, they are as bad as each other.

Ok, then how many have a bigger economy once NI is chopped off? Then Scotland? When banks start moving to the continent?

You don't grow the economy by shrinking the population and resources and putting up red tape to the block you do most of your trading with.

Since Brexit began, we were told that it would cost us over 800,000 jobs, since then we have actually grown 900,000 jobs, a mere difference of over 1.7 million. Our economy is doing OK and there will be no cliff edge or any other catastrophes unless of course Corbyn gets in. Germany is in recession and the Eurozone will probably go that way too. we will do OK.....

Yeah agreed. Think that sometimes working class communities are excused of racism and xenophobia due to their circumstances.
You can’t deny people autonomy and their ability to take a considered position.

It's frustrating, as I've said many times, there are undoubted issues when the population of a community changes for whatever reason, but all of the solutions are already available to the UK government, but they are one of the most highly centralised in the world, and so not at all responsive to local changes. The notion that this is going to change after Brexit is frankly absurd.

Why do you think the economy is doing 'ok' Pete? (and for the record, the German economy shrank by 0.1%. I know you don't like the Germans, but lets have a bit of perspective).

Ever seen how many individual parts go to an OEM to build a car, Pete? None of them (except seats and glass) are made in any meaningful quantity in the UK so they're all going to get taxed before they get to be made into cars which will be less attractive due to their higher price and import duty into foreign markets.

Now car manufacturers are many things, but they aren't sentimental... If they can't build a product at a price people are willing to pay in the UK, they'll be off like a shot.

To be fair to Pete on this one, most of my current employer's customers are in Germany and have told us they're preparing for a recession. But a global one. Presumably Brexit makes us immune to such trifling concerns, though.

They could put a few dozen up themselves debate them for hours/days and let the clock run down.
Havnt we been told this is the only deal available countless times so how can they amend it , seriously I havnt a clue what they are up to if this is true?
If it isn't how do we negotiate a new one in the given time when the government has no will to do so, they could just say we asked the EU they said no , that's the deal, report back at each stage and it's the gone past the 31 st by the time its played out.
Need to bring this government down or it's going to be to late to stop no deal, if that's what people want ,never mind messing about.

But, and this is where it gets ridiculous, the Government who are accused of wanting No Deal actually wants a deal, whereas the Remainer alliance say they want a deal but will not allow parliament to have a vote on it. Meanwhile we have MP’s demanding a people’s vote, yet the same people Soubry etc have all changed parties with Umunna now on his third within a year without ever bothering to ask the voters if they would still wish for them to be their representative. It is a sickening state of affairs.....
