To be fair to Pete on this one, most of my current employer's customers are in Germany and have told us they're preparing for a recession. But a global one. Presumably Brexit makes us immune to such trifling concerns, though.

For sure, I suspect they are heading that way, as indeed are most of the developed countries of the world. It's just this image of the EU as some kind of sinking vessel that we're best out of so we can continue on our glorious path is rather ridiculous.
