Of course the mad thing is that this deal (as Mays did) actually does put us in a position of subservience with regards to the EU.

As day follows night, we will be a competitor if we leave, what the EU are doing will echo with any other country or trade organisation we want to strike free trade deal with, if they are bigger than we are in economic term they will have concessions they want. That's the madness of Brexiteer as we all know.
 
Because the DUP got their revenge on Johnson by voting for the amendment to temporarily block it. That's why he lost. His face was a picture.

As it won't now be ratified by the 19th he is now obliged by law to seek an extension which he may or may not do, and which may or may not be forthcoming. If it is delayed there is bound to an election and/or a referendum which could change everything. In short, extra time is being played.
