It's not crying at all, it's saying people don't grasp what the EU actually is. I dare say you haven't once met an EU/EC employee. It's interesting, a study was published this week showing that conservatives (and yes, that means you) who consume partisan media are not only more likely to hate their opponents than liberals, but also more likely to believe lies about them. Does that ring any bells?
No.....

The problem is the Labour wallys like Caroline Flint, Kate Hoey, Frank Field, Lisa Nandy, John Mann, Kevin Baron, Kelvin Hopkins will vote for this garbage even if a three line whip from Corbyn is put in place.

think they will be cancelled out by ex tory remainers...it will all come down to DUP

So it's dead then - there's no way he gets the numbers in parliament to pass it surely.

I know lots of things with Brexit are unpredictable, but they have agreed the deal now, it can't change, the DUP have said they won't support it so they can't change their position now.

Weird strategy from Johnson.

Have said all along this was Johnson’s plan, that’s why he desperately wanted no deal on the table - not to threaten the EU, but to threaten parliament. I actually thought he’d just lash May’s deal back at the HoC, but he’s actually regressed to the deal which was dismissed out of hand before that.

Think now it’s a question of how much £££ will it take for the DUP to back it, or would the threat of a possible ratification referendum get enough MPs onside.

....a deal containing things the ERG said were non-negotiable says all about the values of the politicians concerned. This was all about seizing power then keeping it.

5 more years with this deceitful man and Rees-Mogg in charge, 5 more years suffering the impotence of Corbyn and this Labour Party. The state of British politics, the state of British politicians.

I’m up for an Independent Liverpool.

I don't think that will be enough though. Nowhere near in fact.

You'd need a mass rebellion of around 50-60 Labour MPs I think, because not all of the whip-withdrawn Tories will vote for this, I don't think all of the ERG will either and if the DUP don't...

yep, i doubt there will be any new labour mps voting for it..especially if they are whipped

if DUP support it the ERG will as well

It's an odd dynamic now.

He gets a deal, which precisely none of the people on this forum advocating it will read, and it's voted down by Parliament - it's Parliaments fault.

Problem is, the EU can't be seen to look uncooperative as they have agreed to negotiation and a new deal. For leavers, it's a logical problem as you then can't have feet in both camps: either it's a terrible deal because Johnson's hands are tied and the EU are uncooperative or it's a good deal and the EU have cooperated with Johnson to get there. Take your pick?
