If it is as I read there will be a vote but one which is never likely to succeed. Verhofstadt knows more than me though.

Hopefully it will all come out in the wash today. I just don't see the EU agreeing to a vote unless something changes on the technological side that means you can have customs checks and have an open border to keep the GFA. Which I can never see happening, certainly not in the next four years. The EU appear to want to ensure that can't be broken, probably in fear it will be blamed.
....as has always been the case, had the deal meant remaining in the single market and customs union it would’ve been passed by now.
Let’s not forget, Johnson and the ERG have voted against a deal. They were soundly against a ‘border down the Irish Sea’, now they come up with a deal including that scenario. What is clear is that this was all about Johnson and his cronies seizing power. No values, do anything to get in power, do anything to stay there.

The DUP rejection will ensure an extension is sought and no meaningful vote in parliament this saturday.
All the Tory crowing yesterday seems in vain.

I was reading Sam McBride's tweets earlier and he believes the DUP leadership not completely dismissing this will cause consternation in that party's ranks.

I suspect that something was agreed but then reneged on. RTE’s Tony Connolly is never wrong and the DUP do have form for over ruling their own MPs once their real decision makers view the proposals.

That's like crying when the horse has bolted out of the stable door - the referendum has changed all that and indeed if it was acccurate Remain forecast to win would have won.....
