A London based pundit on RTE Prime Time - didn't catch his name - is confident that if DUP is on board then Parliament will pass an agreement.
The DUP will reject this out of hand. Anyone who can't see that doesn't know the DUP.

In any case, they shouldn't be allowed to obstruct the will of 500m people who would prefer to come to some sort of an amicable arrangement. They are a minority part whose views should be given short shrift.

And he had the cheek to talk about 'surrender' from the other side lol lol lol lol lol

Ahh whatever, the softer the Brexit the better. If he gets a deal, he's gambled correctly the ERG will fall in line out of panic they'll get nothing at all, which is to be expected as they have no morals whatsoever - all they need to be reassured of is massive deregulation at the first opportunity once we're out.

No, what would only surprise me in the event a deal is passed is if the DUP really go along with a border in the Irish Sea. Their whole reason for existing being flushed down the toilet.

Long term, I think Johnson is ready to jettison Northern Ireland for Brexit - that's the end result of this deal on the table. And, by extension, Scotland.

But hey, we'll have 'independence' and blue passports, so it's all good.

Once again, at the point we have to actually write down what Brexit will be, we will see that the terms are worse than EU membership, we gain nothing, we lose much, and many will argue that it’s not their idea of ‘Leave’.

The only way Brexit can continually appeal to many is to keep it as an ill-defined concept, and never articulate in detail what it actually is.

That's puerile, you haven't a clue...... hanging on to power and achieving a majority is the only position you support, as long as it's the Tory party . You don't give a flying feck about anything or anyone else.
Don't be bothered by it.

Remember when Liverpool were trying to catch up to Manchester United and they were acting like big boys but living on past glories that most of their fan base talked about, but never experienced. They were looking for the next thing to reclaim those past glories and went for something they thought would solve their problems, someone who had scored against their bitter enemies in Europe and would bring unfathomable success to them. They signed a promising youngster, a wonderkid, it was a transfer coup and sign of a re-emerging dominance. But as time went on it didn't work out as planned. So the excuses came 'He just needed a bit of time', 'a bit of adjustment', the right system, 'still learning's, the right manager to make it happen...

@peteblue is just coming to terms with the fact that he hasn't got the 'next Zidane' as promised, he's stuck with Bruno Cheyrou. And no amount of claiming otherwise I'd going to turn Bruno into Zizou.

All the stuff about the backstop in the Irish sea being unacceptable to NI, DUP, it's pretty much a replica of EU current agreement with Ireland
There is practically no difference between what we are hearing now has been agreed and what was agreed 2 years ago. Basically if the 'new' arrangement is accepted by the UK government the last 2 years have been a complete and utter waste of everyone's time.

As I said earlier, it's polishing a turd. Johnson is just hoping he'll be able to repackage it because he's a 'real' Brexiteer.

Johnson learned nothing from May. He fell into every single one of her red lines - even to the point of repeating a leave date in the face of all evidence to the contrary. Except he's somehow even worse because the actual law tells him he can't guarantee that we'll leave on that date.

He's useless. The Gylfi Sigurdsson of politicians.
