Because they understand that this Labour Party is an anti-military interventionist party, and that makes the Tories - even a defence budget axe-weilding Tory Party a more attractive proposition.

There is a class element to this as well. Lots of ordinary squaddies do like Labour but the higher up the ranks you go the more antagonistic they are. However if you continually pump the idea that Corbyn was in the IRA to enough people then eventually some will start to respond to that message.

We have to look far more closely at how we utilise our armed forces and where they are utilised. There has to be more done to tackle the pervading culture within the military andparticualrly the terroristic doctrine of fascism. Finally the Irish struggle needs to be taught far more objectively from Britain, and that can start with explaining that Sinn Fein is a political party, much akin to the DUP who have been put in government. The only difference that the knuckle draggers within Sinn Fein (the anti-gay, anti-abortion bigots) are very much a minority, whereas they are the central tenant of the DUP.

What is not on though, is to make out one side are terrorists and the other should be invited into government as our long term friends. Theresa May should face arrest for that little barb.

Not sure that's true. It's not about his principles, as he never had the capability of doing what he said - it's about his competency. He didn't see that he'd never be allowed to leave with no deal on the 31st, which means he was incompetent. Uniquely incompetent really.

I'm not sure people really understand that though. They will see a PM who promised them something and didn't deliver. The BXP are already sharpening the knives. His best option will be to resign and have someone else do the dirty deed. I can definitely see him allowing someone else to take charge and the old November stab in the back myth to begin to be propagated.

Gove......“Labour’s position on Brexit is as solid as a blancmange in a tornado”
Honestly i'd prefer corbyn in for a bit with a majority government, he'd prob make some terrible mistakes...but these smug, self entitled weirdos need chucking

We just need a general election then.....

BBC World having “a lawyer” from a group called “Lawyers for Britain” offer an opinion on the court case being lost. She is one Victoria Henson, whose day job is working for the Tory think tank IEA.

Surprise surprise she agreed with whatever the Government position is.
The highest court in the land 13-0 judged that what she says is wrong.

No one is listening to hired prize fighters like her. She can flap her gums all day.

Exactly this. Corbyn will get shredded at the next election regardless of when it is held.

The polls suggest otherwise mate. One poll asking people how many would vote Tory at the next election if it's after October 31st are already at 20%. Without being too obtuse I remember reading this same guff before the 2017 about how May was brilliant and going to guy Corbyn, he'd get Labours worst result ever etc etc. Whats that phrase, history repeating itself as tragedy then as farce!

... and May actually came across as someone who wouldn’t dress as a Nazi to break into your house and ravish your wife.

I have no idea what the BBC think they are doing with this. What a junior lawyer thinks of the law, having not seen all of the evidence is really an irrelevance.

You had one idiot on TV earlier talking about getting rid of the Supreeme Court as it's accountable to no-one and replace it with the Law Lords. They too were accountable to no-one. It's kind of the role for the judiciary in none dictatorial states to have independence, Yet this nonsense is left largely unchallenged and uncorrected by our media.

These are not arguments that will gain traction in Britain. A balanced understanding of that conflict will never be given, apart from those writing on the left for the left.
