The French government have declared to day under the present circumstances theybwill vote against any extension on Brexit .........

Because, by Rudd's own admission, the present government are not interested in negotiating. Why would the EU prolong this when the UK are not interested? The government you're propping up are disgracing us.

NoI would like to know what Labours Brexit plans are as on QT they were laughed at......?
The LiB Dems have a clear understanding on their plan - I accept that but not if we have a 2nd referendum and Brexit still is voted for - Democracy is dying Bruce...

You'll have to forgive me Joe, but I have yet to see you say anything critical of the Tories in the three years this thread has been going. Why are you interested in what Labour say? Would you support them if they behaved in the same way as Johnson?

What the French FM actually said was that given the British government are not offering any new solutions to the Brexit deadlock (which is not what No.10 and the few remaining loyalist ministers have been going around telling everyone), he didn't see the point of an extension.

Obviously though this clear statement that the British government is lying to its own people, followed by one of its own ministers openly saying that there are not any serious negotiations taking place, means that Corbyn is to blame somehow.
Just call a GE he has been demanding since he was leader.....

No fan of Blair personally, but to use him as an excuse for backing the racists and liars that are the most prominent proponents for leaving the Eu is a bit strange.
I'm not backing racists and liars, I am backing a democratic vote. I do not support lying by anyone but there have been far more lies spouted by the Remain side over the last three years. It may have the title 'Project Fear' but it is still lies.

Thanks for giving me a good laugh today (I needed one). Accusing Brexiteers of being outright liars when one of the leading lights of the Remoaners campaign is that beacon of truth TONY BLAIR.:celebrate:

I'm accusing the Tory leadership of lying. There is a difference. Stop me if I am wrong but didn't BoJo say specifically that he didn't want a no deal Brexit during his campaign and the odds of such were completely off the charts? But he has done diddly squat there after as he wanted a no deal all along. His party said they will back the rule of law but are now ready to test this. Proroguing parliament when he said he wouldn't, I could go on.

The vote was 52 to 48% based on we will get a deal leaving the EU. Easiest thing ever if I recall correctly. Even Farage was championing a version of the Norway deal. The facts are the people who want a no deal Brexit are in the minority. And if you are one of those then more fool you.

As for Tony Blair, if you want to discuss any lies he did or did not tell I'll happily debate it in the Labour party thread if you provide examples. We'll see how these match up to Johnson's. While we are at it we can also go back to Thatcher's lies or how about Churchill or Julius Caesar's for all the relevance they have to the current government selling whoppers.

That's why a GE is nothing to be scared of....IN YOUR ANALYSIS

Has it crossed your mind that Johnson wants an election because his purge of his own party, which seems set to continue, has made his government a complete lame duck, and a general election is the only way he can stuff with extremists to continue his attack on democracy. Of course he wants an election. There's literally no other route for him to take. You're being led by the nose Joe.

Yes I would in a GE if the Labour Party had a clear policy to leave with a deal but not then put it back to the vote absolutely ridiculous option watch QT it was laughed at .......get a deal the promote the people to vote against it......
Democrocy is dying here ,,,,,

Why is a third election in 5 years fine, but a 2nd referendum in 4 years the death of democracy?

I bet the Tories love people like you. You're so easy to manipulate. You'll swallow anything that's fed to you by that LBC radio station you love and the right wing media.

Joe has sadly come to characterise the kind of people Trump referred to in the infamous remark I daren't utter again for fear of being misconstrued.
