Fair do's. That's what happens when you make assumptions. Sorry.
.
I'm disappointed in your answer but only because I've never understood SNPs stance on this and thought you may be able to shed some light on it. We don't get many Scottish posters on here.

The SNP position is actually quite interesting. For the second independence referendum to be won, they will need no deal to be avoided.

It sounds counterintuitive given no deal would seem to make a yes vote more likely in Scotland. However, if Scotland is an independent member of the EU (as would be likely) and the UK is in a no deal position, we just end up with the same backstop debate as for NI but along the England Scotland border instead, meaning there would need to be a hard border in place for customs reasons (or at least until a trade deal is reached).

My view is that Scottish independence will now happen and the UK will break up. It’s just a matter of time.

Ha Ha Ha.

What a 'kin rabble. That gileted tit is masterminding their strategy. Lol.

I wouldn't be so quick to judge, I would hope for his sake that he foresaw these moves as even I could have told him this would happen.

Their going to come out of this as the brexit white knights, I just hope that the people who voted for labour in the brexit areas see the Tory party for the bunch of liars they are. They're going to lose at least 10 seats in Scotland and hopefully a few constituencies where they bave withdrawn the whip from the MP they voted for.

Quite a few people, you only have to look around (dont just mean on here). There are people who want out whatever the cost.

I think it's more that people are just sick of it. Sick of the moaning on each side.

Nobody really wants to leave and be in a recession, but it's been well over three years since the majority of people that voted in the ref voted to leave.

So when the 'ordinary' person says they want out, I honestly just see them as being fed up of it all. We're such a crapshow anyway, everything's so uncertain, that people just want it to end. I don't think people actively want to see a no deal but simultaneously the MPs telling everyone that the sky will fall in are the ones that have done zero to earn our trust over the past three years (just as the ones saying that everything will be alright - which MP wise isn't really anybody, even Johnson - have done zero to earn our trust).

Hello lads.

As has been pointed out several times recently, we provide this political forum on the basis that you all act sensibly.

Abuse of this trust will simply result in us removing you from the political forum.

Please stop the childishness lads. I’m not getting into a debate about this, just heed the advice.
No problem. Can you do something about these personal attacks please.
You have been on this forum for one year. You have done nothing but cry, whinge, moan, middle finger and complain. Those of us who have been around a little longer are getting a bit fed up with you tbh, yet have never once complained to the mods. But for the first time in a decade I’m going to report someone, and it’s you, as your are ruining this thread and the Irish thread with your incessant complaining of lies and your regular use of the word bigot. It maybe me that gets banned but you are an absolute disgrace to this thread......
I’m disappointed tbh, we try to maintain a semblance of curtesy towards other posters, yet this guy doesn’t. Just because he’s on the same side as yourself shouldn’t detract from his obvious failings.... but that’s your call....
Not really Andy, this guy argues with a middle finger, he calls people bigots and liars, but if you are happy for him to continue ruining these threads then fine, like others I’ll not bother......

I actually have a bit of respect that Corbyn is willing to go to a GE if the deal goes through.

It's his cry arse party that seem to be bottling it.

I don't think Labour would win, like.

Can’t see a majority either way. The best the tories can hope for is a single figure majority. I still think they will be the largest party but they won’t be able to govern.

There's a lot still to play out in this saga yet Kurt. Twists and turns all the way.

Nobody has won or lost yet.

And @Kurt

I don't get why people (well, the MPs are) are treating this like a game?

It's not about winning or losing. It's about getting out of this mess, somehow, with a semblance of a deal. And not just ignoring the result of a vote - which is the very definition of anti-democratic, surely?

We're past the point of no return now. Can people really think the EU negotiators will just let us revoke Article 50 without serious repercussions, after all the uncertainty? You'd be living in cloud cuckoo land.

It's bad either way.
